Ability bars should be INCLUSIVE, not EXCLUSIVE! All 12 ability slots should be considered 1 bar, simply divided into 2, depending on your weapon choice.
- Every ability that has some sort of active/passive benefit, whether that's a class, guild or weapon skill, should apply to your character at all times, regardless of which weapon you're wielding at the time.
The battle was ferocious. I waded through my enemies, Wrecking them with my Greatsword, until I was pinned to the floor by a luminous spear from above. I gathered my strength, summoned my Hardened Ward and continued my assault. A rush of power filled me, but there was something I'd forgotten. If only I could reach that Templar with my magic, but magic wouldn't do. I sheathed my greatsword, then drew my bow. A sharp pain pieced my mind as memories came flooding back, Crystal Fragments! Of course! But, it was too late. The rush of power had already faded.
- Toggled abilities should only require 1 slot to remain active, regardless of which weapon bar they're on.
Heaven forbid, my Clannfear and I are hunting in the woods and I trip on a root, dropping my staff. My companion disappears before my eyes and I'm mauled to death by a bear!
ZOS, think about this world you've created logically, and do this!
