Crap collision detection coupled with crap world structure .. what else is there to say? Been like this since launch, doubt it'll ever be fixed because likely it's a fundamental flaw in the engine.

Edit: I still get this bug sometimes when I repeatedly press Shift (Sprint button) while riding on a horse that has Retreating Maneuver buff (on PTS).

Your forgetting they mean the opposite of what they say. So that actually means WILL get hung up more easily....

I just figured it out. Anyone remember the Bizarro World from Superman??? I think we know know where ZoS is coming from.

I don't think you quite understand how game engines work....issues like this are easily fixable, just extremely time consuming; especially with a game of this scope and size. Which is why the issue will continue to persist long into the future, as it's not a major issue and that dev time can be spent doing much more important things.

Try a /bug. That is how they get a report on it. Remember, this is PTS, a place to help them with bugs before live. I dont think a rant in forums helps much. A unified /bug thread would though. Something with constructive things to help them fix it. This thread, however, well........

You should note the locations where your mount slows so they can fix the pathing/collision at that location. For pebbles and such.

Edit: managed to reproduce the slowing down on stairs at the south entrance to Davon's watch, happened while normally running and sprinting, no riding skills at all.

Good idea. Here is the list of locations this happens:

- every incline, in all terrain, in all zones.

Hope that narrows it down for ya, ZoS !!

A while back there was an auto jump addon which would detect all Z axis changes and make your ride do a min jump. You would not notice it, but it would mean pebbles and other small Z axis changes would not stop your horse.

But that addon was broken just before the game when live when they removed a lot of features open for addon makers to access. Would be nice to have it back
