70 CP Vs 3.6k CP

The difference between a character with 70 CP and 3.6k CP.

Note I could have reached 14k Dps and 15k during the execute phase if I had my attention towards my DoTs instead of trying to survive.

    Champion System

    General
The maximum system limit of 3,600 Champion Points will now be awarded to the Character Template to allow for more testing of the Champion System.
Note: This will cause PvE content to become easier than it was originally balanced for, and is not the intended balance of the system.

with all the bugs floating around, as it seems its not only 2h, its kinda useless to do any testing since you dont know if your results are legit or not :(

OK the idea of the pts is not to find the new fotm build but to find new exploits and bugs and report them (which will get ignored by zenimax in 99% of the cases)

Yeah and the 500k 2h hits are funny too it almost seems as if zenimax just let us test and not test changes before themselves

    Ok. ZOS.

We want to be REWARDED from hard content. example: vet dsa

WE DO NOT want to have the only real rewards come from ENDLESS GRINDING.

We do not want new player to quit

We DO NOT WANT TO GET KICKED FROM ANY END GAME TRIALS , ECT BECAUSE WE DON'T HAVE OUR CP MAXED YET.

    YOU DUN F'd IT UP!

Just give up ZOS... make it so that you get champion points as you level up, from lvl 1 onward. And by v14, you have the max amount, 3.6k. This means by max lvl we have the max amount and what it does is, separates tanks from dps, heals from tanks. By what we put points into farther customizes our characters stats.

WE ALL know what you where going for. It was the plannar atunement that rift of telara has. But you didn't get it right. HOWEVER. You can use what you have to help with customization, to fill in the gap with the lack of good itemization.

This is not a single player mmo. People will not sit there with 50% cp completion and beat the game for a challenge.
People will grind till its maxed, since it makes FAR TO BIG A DIFFERENCE.

Whats so bad about that. LET US TEST IT.
We will do it free and give feedback.
ZOS needs to use the people there paying, to fix things as we point problems out.
Least amount of staff they have to spare on testing, means more people to patch problems faster.

haha testing 3600 CP is more pointless than testing 70 CP. LOTS of people will be playing with ~70CP, almost no one, ever will be playing with even > 1000 CP.

Why didn't they give us something reasonably achievable like 4-500 CP?

Yeah well, from a software development standpoint testing a dynamic application for an eventuality for an extreme minority of users that far out is a waste of everyone's time :)

I think people forget it is going to take a long long long time to get to max CP points. Maybe zos shouldn't have let us have all those CP points on test. BY the time the first person gets to last CP point it will be balanced.

Why don't you only use 4-500 CP in your testing? Just because they gave you 3.6k doesn't mean you have to use it all. Unassigned points do nothing.

I only care about PvP, which is hilariously broken in 1.6.2, and it would be pointless to gimp myself since no one else would (I would be 400CP vs 3600 in every fight).

So the main question I'm wondering about is how long it takes for people to quit the game because grinding CP will be worse than the V1-V14 grind that a lot of people hated? Without putting out new content quickly I'm betting a lot of people will leave by end of June. Possibly sooner if nothings put out before then. IMO

yep. We need arenas, and instanced 10v10 pvp maps, ect. More variety.
Random events in pve areas. At the moment it gets really dull. Games combat and class system and skills are great. But that's what makes it survive. If you took away the action combat, and the flexible class system. Do you think this would stand up to anything else ?

For me personally it's not a big issue to keep it like this but I see how new players would get totally crushed in PVP and then the realization that this would totally kill PVP. IMO the acquisition time needs to be lowered for the first 360 points and then steeply increased without additional gains in power over what we currently have in fact I would argue that lower would be better. This is from a consumers viewpoint however, if I wanted to make money of this and didn't give one *** about whether the game will survive very long I would probably just slowly introduce those nice boosters that will let those who have possibility to no-life AND pay completely rek everyone. :/

    I don't mind some grind.

It's a pleasant, relaxing way to spend an hour or two after a long work day. Hard Content is great, but I also like being able to unplug my brain, kill some monsters, take their stuff and make some actual progress.

The trick is in the pacing. Grinds can't feel too grindy, or they get frustrating ;)

You talk like you would be in live PvP. Any serious PvP player might test out 3600 for fun but quickly turn back into reasonable numbers to actually test the PvP how it will be.

No use to test something where you might be in couple of years. Of course there will be those people that go whee 3600 I'm god now but that experience will be no use to them once the system is in live and they have 70 points.

Agree. I'll run Spellscar or trash mobs just 'cause after a long day, I want to play something where I don't have to concentrate too hard, but I'm still destroying enemies. Plus, when I'm doing writs, I'll purposefully get into battle to get the mat, just cause there's an added challenge there, as minor as it might really be compared to vet pledges and other things. If I gain Champion Points in the process, then awesome!

Well dunno what you belong to. However you are worried of gimping yourself with 400 CP on PTS. Sure everyone is entitled of investing 3600 points and having a blast as long as it lasts. What do they learn from it when 1.6 hits live? "There was that week when I could do 7-15mil damage with one hit".
