[Suggestions] - Imperial racial passives

In the current state of the game the Imperial passives are incredibly strong mostly because they are raw statistics instead of worthless regen or novelties like increased swim speed. One can reach tremendous health and stamina stats when compared to the other racials available to players. I understand that you want to keep the Imperial race desirable since it's a crown store item however it does need a significant revamp to keep it competitive when choosing a race. Imperial is close to a no brainer at this point.

With that said I think that this would be a good place to give feedback or suggestions regarding the Imperial race as a few racials are being or already have been altered with 1.6. Compare it to other races sure however let's attempt to keep this topic away from the the "My race is so weak" kind of conversation. Let's focus on giving suggestions instead.


Current Passives:

Tier 2 passive
  • 12% health

Tier 3 passive
  • 10% stam

Tier 4 passive
  • 10% chance to restore 6% health on melee attack.



My suggestion:(*For formatting reasons*)
In my opinion rewarding such large pools of raw stats creates an imbalance. Luckily, with the Imperial race there is the Red Diamond passive. I think that if the stam/health pools are reduced however the chance and % of health it restores at max stage is increased and the chance are increased it would be more in line with other racials. Still powerful but not the obvious choice for a melee character (Some spells and/or weapons can both proc the passive).

I obviously haven't tested this set up however it's general layout on how to give your valued suggestion.

Tier 2 passive
  • 8% health

Tier 3 passive
  • 6% stam

Tier 4 passive
  • 15% chance to restore 8% health on melee attack.


Let's hear some good suggestions and hopefully Zenimax Online Studios can make a necessary balancing change.

    lol. why only Imperials? Plz also nerf Dark Elfs, Altmers, Kajits and Bretons.

    Imperial is on another level than Dunmer. 12% health and 10% stam bonuses are enormous advantages without soft caps.

    I would be extremely annoyed if Imperial were nerfed, considering they made everyone pay extra to get it when the game launched. It would be like giving a finger to everyone that paid for the imperial edition.

    I would be extremely annoyed if Imperial were nerfed, considering they made everyone pay extra to get it when the game launched. It would be like giving a finger to everyone that paid for the imperial edition.

    I think there is room for a change to the racials that would still make it a great race choice but not as powerful. I don't think it's necessary to upset people when making a change like this but a change is definitely in order.

    To be completely honest a couple buddies were expecting Imperial to get nerfed in 1.6 but we were surprised not to see any changes at all to it.

    I should probably mention that I have 5 Imperial VR on my account. It used to be 7 but I wanted a Redguard and an Orc. If a nerf were to happen like the one I suggested I wouldn't be opposed to it to be completely honest. I know 100% that I chose the most powerful race for my build and it's nearly p2w.

    Well, i will speak for my self only. My main is an Imperial DK and i would change my race to Dunmer anytime for any money, becoys it's much more powerfull.
    I still get almost 9% moagica nad 3% stmaina what is also wery good.

    And fire resist combined with 7% extra spell damage for fire effects is extranly OP. First for Cyrodil, second for dps in general - considering that with you can get like 150-200 extra spell damage for all fire effects including destro stafs (as long as they also scale with spell damage in 1.6).

    So, you can think thatewer, but imo Dunfers are wey wey more OP then Imperials.

    And second, to be constructive, i personaly would like all racials to be removed from game and leav only cosmetic one. Or just reduse all numbers to 1% so they will not effect our balance that hard.

    There were no changes and probably won't be any because the imperial edition is being released to console. People buying the game for console would come to the forums and see imperial edition owners complaining about being baited and switched or ripped off.

    Am I wrong in the assumption that the Imperial race is more powerful when compared to the other races? I guess I'm of the minority or some people just don't want to reroll. Either or.

    IMO I see it as most of the other racials are downright terrible or lackluster when compared. Not that Imperial are OP and need to be nerfed.

    Don't be silly.
    ZoS will never nerf the premium race, the insane racials is the only reason people will buy the imperial edition.

    Even I would go as far as to buy it, right before the race exchange of course.

    All would be well if the soft caps present at launch would still be in effect.

    And since increasing the meaning of % is the whole point of 1.6....

    This has nothing to do with "competitive". Its about small advantages. People who dont have it, want it gone.
