I'm not a huge fan of the new intro but thats a different beast. Hearing Michael Gambon's voice as soon as you wake up was AMAZING, charming, and #SuperWhoop! ... and now you have altered key parts of that experience.
While you went different direction and I will only cry my big crocodile tears somewhere else... I am 1000% comfortable sharing that the discontinuity between voices is unacceptable I would rather have a bit generic Michael Gambon vs. "new", "streamlined", and "improved" text. I would also say that I think it is fairly presumptuous that you believe that your minor gameplay changes should supersede or warrant this level of change (rude but I'll explain more).
Am I a bit crazy? Sure. To be clear though, while I am *certain* that this is me being overly intense about a really small thing... it is not that small. Point of fact, you have fully banked on this emotional response by tying his voice in which the character you chose. While there is no reasonable way or logical to say *OMG WTF* that is because you intended this to be an unreasonable and ***totally emotional response from the beginning****. The only difference is that you intended to pull people in.
Michael Gambon's voice and its consistency *REALLY* spoke about a level of quality of ESO and to change it now speaks volumes about ESO and where it is headed. I really do not recommend it. If you must give this "new direction" a go, please at least remove all of the rest of the of Michael Gambon's voice... that way you will only be crushing my experience and at least the new players won't feel that "ick" (no other way to describe it) feeling when they hear you substituting his voice in and out it in the future.
Im sorry that this is so odd and small of an issue but it is a big deal to me and I really only want the best for ESO. I think it is a cool game and as soon as it is stabilized I will be trying to get a new group over (likely after june) from wow.
Thank you in advance for your consideration,
WRF
