What is the worst thing you have done just so you can play ESO? And when will update 6 release?

So first I want to know what date patch 1.6 will be released? I have a very good reason to ask about this:

My girlfriend are doing school at home, and need at least 5 days a week with this.
We live 3 hours away from each other.
So I visit her when she's not doing school work, usually from friday to sunday, but other days as well, if one of us are busy that weekend.
I have a doctor appointment at her place next friday, the 13th.

Here is my problem:

If update 6 releases that friday, I want to play ESO. So it is stupid of me to travel 3 hours each way because of that doctor appointment, and not spending time with my girlfriend at the same time. So I rather visit her from lets say, wednesday to friday, and be home playing ESO that weekend.

Yes, I am addicted, some of you understand me, some of you don't. I try not to let the game take over my life and spare time, but this update 6 in too insane for an addicted hardcore gamer to delay its playtime.


While we are on the subject . It would be fun to read what others have prioritized ESO over the real life . Maybe some of you said you were sick, and was home from school or work just to play?

Put the kids up for Adoption and divorced the wife. I now sit at home in a 1 bedroom flat playing ESO all day whilst paying for the subscription and internet via benefits.

I have given my password and account to my friends, so If I am at work or something, they have to log in and research. I have everything ready, and place myself next to a crafting bench, so they only have to press "e", and research. They are trained in research . They don't play the game themselves.

You do realise this account is directly associated to your game account and that might not be the best thing to announce?

You do realise this account is directly associated to your game account and that might not be the best thing to announce?

Why is that? Is it illegal to make others play on your account? Its not like I pay them to xp boost me or something.

I left my aged father outside in his wheelchair while there was a heavy rainstorm. I could hear him yelling but it had taken forever to get a PUG going for Fungal Grotto. I did throw him a towel from the top floor when the Tank had to take a leak.

Update 6 is not coming out on Friday the 13th!

Not only is it too soon into the testing (they have already stated they plan at least one more patch to PTS next week), and not only do they do maintenance to the live servers on Mondays, but it is Friday the 13th! No need to tempt fate by going live with such an enormous patch on a Friday the 13th!

The Dominion has no fear of your fabled Friday the 13th. Bah! We shall patch when we say so.. not because of some silly ground walkers superstition.

Patches usually come out on Mondays (sometimes Tuesdays), so it's definitely not coming out on the 13th.

Actually, yes, it's against the TOS.

I work in a care home and since I started playing the compulsion has been getting worse so I got my friend, who is a GP and also plays to prescribe me some tomazepan, which for the last month I have been putting into the five residents evening drink so I can grind ahead of 1.6. I'm thinking of putting them in their evening meal instead as this would give me an extra ninety minutes.

No seriously, what kind of thread is this? Real life is more important. Spend time with the ones important to you, see your doctor, learn something in school, earn your paycheck, pay your bills, then play the game.

Update 1.6 will go live in the next 2 weeks as stated by devs many times...

Mate, a friendly word of advice here... For no update in the world you should ever reschedule time with your girlfriend. ESPECIALLY not for 1.6!

Yeah I know. But some are addicted to smoke, some to drugs. Me, to ESO. If you think about it, it is not that bad actually.
And I was going to be with her anyway, just a couple of days before the patch release

My girlfriend and I live about 3 hours apart, and we both work full time jobs, so we only really see each other weekends. I've come down with some form of weekend flu or cold a few times, and they always seem to go away Monday morning.

Usually around a new patch. I'll probably come down with something around 1.6

a) spent some of my vacation time to stay home for early launch week
b) stayed up way too late on too many work nights which made me sick
c) defended on a few forums the reputation of a guild I was in but they proved to no way deserve it
d) believed in ZoS's original statements about the game

...all points not necessarily listed in order of actual events....

ETA on 1.6? Proly week before console launch my guess.
