Suggestion: Scrap the idea of % of crit damage done, because it doesnt balance well with all styles of play (dw, dots, holding off on dmg just to get a heal).
Version 1:
- Surge
- This ability now applies the Major Brutality buff.
- Power Surge: This ability now applies the Major Brutality and Major Sorcery buffs.
- Critical Surge: This ability now heals you for X% of your total health when you critically hit, this effect can only happen every Y seconds.
Note: X and Y are both values that you determine balanced. Healing a % of your health instead of first crit dmg after ICD will solve the issue of sorcs avoiding Dots, DW, and smaller hits in favor of a heal, which is simply not fun or a good change.
Version 2:
- Surge
- This ability now applies the Major Brutality buff.
- Power Surge: This ability now applies the Major Brutality and Major Sorcery buffs.
- Critical Surge: This ability now heals you for 2% of your total health when you critically hit.
Note: this one would probably feel better to the player, and work a bit smoother, giving a reason to press the button, depending on how long of an ICD you chose for version 1.
