    Since most are running 20-25k health on PTS max, Radiant is pretty much a 1-shot. If it stays that way expect to see a lot more Templar in PvP and less DK :)

    hmm you´re in 3m range (blazing shield effective range) but to dump to bash him. haven´t observed a more obvious lern2play pattern in a long time.

    and wats your problem with jabs? if he would have spammed light attacks your HP-pool would have been ~2x as fast depleted as with jabs.

    Do you block or move when fighting or was this a pure damage check? If a damage check was the 14k a crit hit and were you blocking?

    If these were legit fights then I would say radiant is a channelled skill so why were you not interrupting, healing or putting up a shield. You died after two of them from what appears to be the same player which suggests you had a fair opportunity to do something.

    Biting jabs requires that you stay in front of the other player so again query why you weren't taking action to counter or at least get out of the attack. Otherwise not sure what the problem is with biting jabs damage given that it is a few hits with likely crits from the Temp passives with each one.

    it only does high damage as an execute. 7-10 k damage( depending on build) over 2.5 seconds( edit 3.5 seconds)... you can crushing shock light attack more then that in that time, but if you health drops low.. your a candle

    "Templars can do damage and it's OP" seems to be the new forum mantra of the moment. Except, if you look, lots of abilities are doing decent damage outside of Templar skill lines. Try a DK using new damage buffs stacked with two-handed damage buffs/big swing abilities. I was hit by single shot of Crystal Fragments for nearly 9000, which isn't OP but it sure stings. I've seen a few really high numbers for Nightblade attacks that rival or exceed what I've been seeing Templars doing. My death recaps (with my 5light/2heavy 24-27K health magicka-heavy Templar using a good amount of Impen) regularly feature non-Templar/non-class related damage for 10-20K.

    The first night I tried PvP on the PTS, I was able to melt a few people who were at or under 65-70% health. A couple of days made a big difference. Last night I only melted people who were closer to 40% (or less) health, and that was rare. Many people shrugged it off through a combination of adding pieces of heavy armor, raising their health significantly, and stacking damage shields. I "death beamed" one person twice in a row and it only took off maybe 15-18% of their health. There is a new meta coming for damage, damage boosting, and damage mitigation along with changes to how you buff and stack boons to stats like health. Players are already showing the first signs of adapting.

    As for the Templar skills mentioned:

    Biting Jabs: A Templar is vulnerable to CC while attacking with this ability. Also, always roll toward/through the Templar and it will take them time to turn around and re-target you. Block/use shields and at the end of a burst of Jabs roll right at the attacker.

    Radiant Destruction (and especially the morph Radiant Oppression): It has slight delay/warm-up before starting and is channeled for nearly 3 seconds, during which time the ability can be interrupted and also during that time the caster cannot block without ending the spell.

    As for how and when the more deadly version of Radiant Destruction (Radiant Oppression) is at its most powerful, I re-share the following:
    The damage output varies depending depending on a few things:

    1. Max magicka and percentage of Max Magicka. As a magicka-based ability it makes sense that it scales off of this resource, but, it also scales off of how much you have left if you use the Radiant Oppression morph. If you are at 100% magicka, the base damage is scaled up 40%.

    2. Spell crit chance and crit damage. Again this seems obvious, but if you are using Radiant Magelight you will be at 95% of potential Max Magicka, so it is a trade-off of potential damage for potential crit.

    3. The target's health. The base damage + Max Magicka modifier can be amplified up to 300% versus low health targets.

    So, if your character is wounded, and someone has a decent crit chance/crit damage multiplier with a full magicka bar and a large magicka pool, and they are using the Radiant Oppression morph, they can deal a lot of damage.

    Biting Jabs is a 1.1 second channel.

    Radiant Destruction is a 3 second channel with close to 1 second delay before firing. So that 14k damage is more like 4500, 4500, 4500 over 3 seconds.

    and as I mentioned its only 7-10k damage over 2.5(edit 3.5) seconds. its not good for regular health, chrushing shock and light attacks is more,

    but in the right circumstances at low health it can do 20k, only because you are also putting up damage shields it has to melt through. if you never used a shield it would never do that much, because your health has to be much lower to be in execute range.
    if you have 25 k health are at 20k and take it to the face no block it would only do 7-10 k damage non crit( depending on build).
    the issue its that its targeting execute at to high of health, when they put it in proper execute range it should be fine

    Biting Jabs Spam is real.... Drains stam if you block, kills in a few hits if you don't, Cost stam to CC break. If they are running immovable GG cuz you can't stop dis button spam... Bump for attention, fix for the sake of not having a Cyrodiil full of Temps

    I'm not worried about the Jesus Beam in PvP. I'm worried about it in Boss fights. it procs at 50% !!! this is so damn early. I think, Templars are going to be the top DPS now and just beaming from 50% to 0% seems so easy.

    Has anyone tested Templar mage against Bosses so far ?

    OPlars are now getting the love DK's have known for such a long time.

    Does radiant still shoot through walls when tab targeted or have they fixed that already? Haven't been on the PTS for a week now, (non vet campaign has been asweome!)
    Been here since Feb 2014 - You'd think I'd be half reasonable at this game by now...

    That shooting through walls thing is pretty scary and bad I'll admit, but the skill itself, and Templars as a whole, still aren't nearly as bad as DK's and Batswamers have ever been or ever will be.

    Shooting through walls is an obvious 'not working as intended' issue, so not much to complain about there as it shouldn't make it to the live server when they push whatever copy they think is ready across.

    I dunno. I rarely get hit, I avoid it well. But it's almost certain death of I do get hit, which is not anything I can say for another skill in the game.
