Based on my experience on the PTS and discussions with others, it seems that the chests that give you XP in the legerdemain skill are specifically the owned locked strongboxes in towns, and not the un-owned chests that we're used to finding in the wilderness.Siliconhobbit_ESO wrote: »I wanna know if this Achievement will retroactively level up my Legerdemain skill.
ESPECIALLY since that total is now more then 5000.

Interesting - I had thought I hadn't got any from a wilderness chest... I'll have to try again to test.onlinegamer1 wrote: »I gained Legerdemain XP looting chests in the wilderness in Craglorn, so its ANY chest.

So not true. There are a ton of provisioning ingredients in delves, and if you don't want to go fight some easy mobs to get your provisioning ingredients, you can always do the provisioning writs (which any provisioner should be doing anyway), which give you a whole bunch of ingredients as a reward, as well as cash which can be used to buy exactly the ingredients you need from a vendor (since they are all available from vendors in 1.6 except for the rare ingredients needed for purple recipes), and a chance for a recipe, and (apparently) a chance for rare ingredients that otherwise only come from hirelings.starlizard70ub17_ESO wrote: »I'll check other places soon, but it really looks like you need to be a thief with you want to be a provisioner of any worth.

It's not about the money as much as it is such a change from ES tradition.nerevarine1138 wrote: »Ourorboros wrote: »I'm disappointed that there is no discount on paying the bounty to a fence instead of a guard. Considering how much those stolen goods can be worth, I'd say you're still getting a discount. You can also just wait it out if you're patient enough. Or, you know, don't get caught in the first place.
No new sources I'm aware of. But I suspect they feel like we have too many skill points already. I think I remember at one point way back at the beginning they said that you could reasonably expect to master your class skills, 2 weapon skills, 2 crafting skills, and maybe a couple of the world or guild skill lines.
However, it may eventually be connected to the Theives' Guild content, which should have some new skill point sources for us.
Quick question - Are there any containers in town anymore that you can still loot without having to steal?
