On update 6
There are my first impressions from about 3 hours of play. If you have any you want to add please do so.
The tutorial
I really didn't see much difference but really only played through it once. I think Litha stays with you longer. You have to pick the lock on a door. There might be a few more drops for items. No mention of the champion system or the justice system, I know if you have been following the game you are up on it. Since this is suppose to be for brand new players who just got the game might want to at least mention them.
Justice System
So it took me a bit to even figure out to activate the skill. I was trying to pick pocket people but generally failed and got killed by the NPC or a guard as I was trying to play as a thief. At the moment just being a Bulgar going into marked containers is the easiest way. I think the line should open up on an attempt even if it is a failure or that there should be an NPC that puts you through a quick tutorial.
As to the line itself I only messed with it for an hour (maybe) and it is already at level 2. Even with the artificial fence limit of 50 items ( I hear it goes to 110 with a point in the passive) I think it is going to be leveled very quickly. I understand why it was put in there but really it doesn't make sense to not be able to fence items in different cities.
A couple things that effected the immersion. When I am caught by a guard the audio was as if the guard was talking to me from very far away. So that needs fixed.
Also 90% of the time I stand up to loot a container but 10% of the time I don't which tells me it is possible to maintain the crouch while looting. I would prefer this as it bothers me to sneak up to something only to have my character stand up.
Another immersion killer is when it says I am hidden but the NPC still throws out the greeting/comment as if I wasn't hidden. I have also noticed that if I take my time maintaining no los on a pick pcoket target there is a brief moment when my chance percentage is high but then it drops. However if I come out of stealth then go back into right next to the person I get the higher percentage rate. You might as well just walk up to people stealth then pick pocket.
Champion System
I like the idea but I am not seeing horizontal progression. I think it will make a build stronger in a way that it already is. Also it seems to be very shield centric. Although you can bash and get the passives even using a bow I for see a lot of people using shields playing very defensively. Which is already an issue many have a problem with in the current AvA system.
On Skill re balance
Still up in the air. One thing I didn't like and is actually what I consider a nerf is the removal and replacement of skills with something that did nothing like the original. My example (and I know there are others) is Sparks. For you who never messed with dual wield it allowed you to actively negate a lot of damage. This was replaced with one that negates 20% of an AE attack while damaging those around you. I will have to play with it to judge but I tell you this I really liked sparks so going to be biased against it.
Ultimate change
Honestly I think this was the most blown out of proportion on these forums. I am not noticing any change to ultimate generation. I will mess with different builds to try and figure out the worse one for ultimate but I really don't see this changing much. Of course no pvp yet so we will see if they occur slower now.
