Slow download of PTS

Hi,
I resubed today, downloaded the game (with an average of 10 to 20 Mb), and then decided to download the PTS version, but it's stuck around 500ko/sec and it's taking forever (about 3 hours for now, I'm at 33%).

Anyone got the same problem ? I'm in Europe (France) FYI. Also, my settings are on "Maximum download speed/unlimited".

I'm in Australia and have been downloading it now for 9ish hours. It slowed right down a few times I've had to pause/un-pause a few times. I'm sitting on 50% but my game crashed before and froze everything and I had to re-start my computer (was at 71% at time of crash).

There are just so many people downloading it atm I think that its just so slow for everyone.

The launcher for this game is very strange, and the percents are verry misleading. Hang in there. When mine was downloading after a few hours it went from about 30% to 78% in about one minute.

I'm at 5% and it's been downloading for about 5 hours. And no, I'm not downloading ***, as well.

The download speed is horrible slow
What is the reason, Zenimax?
I'm on the EU server, I have a 32Mbit/s (4MB/s) line, other products like games from steam or blizzard are always using the full speed during their download. So I don't see the reason within my environment.
But with Zenimax the usage is changing between 50kB/s !!! and 1.0 MB/s
It's horrible!

I've been downloading solidly at 2.4mb/s which is max for my connection. Couple of hours so far, at 13%.

It's a very large download. Many people stated they would base their decision on whether or not they liked 1.6. Others want to see how they need to respect with the 1.6 changes (that's me.) Still others want to see how the thieving system works. In short, everyone and their mother is downloading the PTS. Thus the slow download times.

24 hrs since I started the download and it's only at 15%.. at this rate..the testing might be all over by the time my download is finally over.

I've got really decent download speeds....except eso. For all big patches, eso updates throttle back to 1.xx mbps after a few minutes. No amount of pausing or stopping/restarting will fix it. During one big patch (1.3 maybe) I spent like an hour on the phone with my isp accusing them of throttling me, but it was just eso.

Started the 1.6 pts dl before work this morning, 16 hours later it's at 88%. Someone here was streaming movies for a few hours before I got home, which surely didn't help.

I was stuck at 0% and paused then un paused the download on the launch to get it to move.

And the launcher is weird, It was taking forever but once it hit like 30-40% it was then done in 30 minutes. I have no clue why it acts so weird but its always done that for me. Even with updates on the live server.

Torrent file to my PTS folder. I want to ask moderators and admins to not delete this message because it's a real problem for some of your customers and ZOS do nothing to help them. If not, hope you'll downlaod it before this message will be deleted.

I was downloading the PTS from scratch... the first part was around 37GB, which I assume is the base game. That took around 6 hours, but it was pretty consistent around 1-2MB/s.

Now I'm downloading another 6GB, which I assume to be 1.6 itself. My download speed has dropped from 2MB/s to between 35-50kb/s, and has stayed there for the last 2 hours. Yes, you read it right... that's dialup speeds.

Here's the fun part. I'm tracking activity, and it's talking to the server just fine. I can ping the server address and get a consistent 42ms response time, and if I do a speedtest I get a solid 18MB/s by 2MB/s (down and up respectively).

Seems odd that the connection would drop from 2MB/s to an average of 40kb/s.

I am on a 50/50mb fiber and I only get 2-300k/s DL speed normal I get 3-4mb/s

Verizon Fios 80Mb/s Down, 80 Mb/s Up. My download speeds, 20-200 KB/s This is a joke. Anything else, I get 10MB/s, not KB.

When everyone is que to get something it always goes slowly. Even server downloads.

Took me around 7 hours to download the whole game, including updates, which was about the 35gb mark.

Patcher seems to download slowly when lots of people are trying to download the same patch. There are lots of people testing 1.6, and 1.6.3 is a large incremental patch from 1.6.2, so lots of people are trying to download.

Always good to know you're not the only one with a problem.

Also sad that this wasn't fixed months ago.

The PTS always takes hours-days to download regardless of my speed. Just assumed it's a low priority bandwidth
