PTS Download Speed Question

So I usually download things very fast, my connection will go to 50MB/s, but for some reason the PTS is downloading at 1 MB/s. My download speed is set to "Unlimited" in the options.

Any idea why it seems capped at 1 MB/s?

edit: I have never seen this issue on the Live server even with big patches.

Try changing the download speed to 5mb/s or 10/mb/s and let us know if your speed improves!

Set it at 10 MB/s but it is still downloading at 1 MB/s.

There are several solutions we can suggest in the meantime, though they're admittedly relatively general without a lot of additional info. Let us know if any of these help!

If the download and installation process is running slow, there are several temporary solutions:

First, players should try temporarily disabling the firewall and anti-virus. Default Windows firewalls will come on automatically after others are disabled, so keep in mind that the Windows firewall may need to be disabled, too. Always remember to turn them on again after the download completes.

Players can also try opening the following ports on their router:
•TCP / UDP Ports 24100 through 24131
•TCP / UDP Ports 24300 through 24331
•TCP / UDP Ports 24500 through 24507

If that doesn't work, they can try bypassing the router and plugging the computer in directly to the internet source to improve download speeds

My modem/router are a combined thing. Forwarded the ports you listed and now my download is 6 MB/s which is better. Since my download speed should be near 50 MB/s though something still isn't right.

Windows Firewall is disabled but I didn't see a change in the download speed after doing that.

It is also confusing that I haven't seen this with a live patch.

Simply too much people downloading it at the same time, +/- 500kb/s when my normal download speed is 6 or 7 mb/s.

Mine keeps fluctuating between 400kb/s and up to 12 Mb/s. Just gotta sit tight i guess

I got that only once, hitting pause and then resume helped.
