Which runes do you need? Mid-level ones (20-35ish) are really hard to come by. Any others, I'll be happy to send you some if you are on the NA server.
Unfortunately it was the 20-35ish I needed. But thanks for the offer.

Since the forums are super active right now, I'm going to bump this for exposure. It's a great idea. :)

I will continue to push this idea because I believe it or a similar system is needed in ESO.

Interesting that it would trade volume for increased price and time. It's a trade-off I would be cool with.

Can I ask a question? I know people are either strongly for or against Auction houses? What would it do if they were implemented? Just curious as it stands I like the current system ok but this ha been debated since beta and I really want to know what has caused such strong feelings about something that sounds really harmless
That which we obtain to cheap we esteem to lightly, it is dearness only that gives everything its value.

An auction house would allow players to control market. Manipulating supply and prices

That makes sense

I can understand why some people might resent the addition of on Auction House. However in an MMO shouldn’t it be the players that manipulate supply and adjust their prices due to the demand? I for one would much rather look at what the going rate of needed item/items and determine if I should farm or purchase the item directly. Finding this out in five minutes and not in one hour or more is important to me.

I don’t want the current system replaced; I do appreciate the developers trying something different. Though I would like to see the system improved to increase the convenience to the player. I do feel strongly that the concept I have devised will accomplish this and at the same time maintain the value of the current trade system.

Tinkering with the present guild trading system for the convenience of buyers isn't addressing the main issue, which is the lack of an effective selling system other than through a restrictive guild system.

Getting rid of guild traders would not only open up the economy to all players at all levels, it would also return guilds to their proper role which would be a great enhancement to the community.

I do agree with you in that improvements must be made to establish an effective selling system for players as well as increasing the convenience of buyers. However I believe this can be done by tweaking my initial concept instead of just eradicating the player base trade guild.

In my initial concept I had that all players could use the EETC regardless if they where in a trading guild. The only disadvantage would be a slight decrease in profit due to the EETC service charge versus what a trade guild would get charged by owning a guild shop.

I must go to work now but I will ponder this over and make an attempt to refine my original concept to include selling equipment for those who do not wish to join a trade guild.

Keep the vendors as they are now just add/allow ability for players to sell at those vendors at prices set buy the trading guilds connected to that Guild store, maybe have buy orders listed at same.
I would like to see a system that halts the would-be robber barons from tinkering with the economy too much.

Interesting idea, I would be interested in a system that would allow me to post a contract of material/equipment I wanted along with a price I was willing to pay. Attach the gold to that order allowing crafters/farmers who choose to accept my contract complete the order and receive the gold. Almost like a reverse auction house.

Was their an east empire trading company during Reman's reign? Because EETC was a Septim era creation from my understanding.

But I do agree that there needs to be a central place where players can trade and all guilds who have a AH vendor have one vendor to help consolidate where you can browse.

Yes, I believe you are correct. I used the EETC from TES Morrowind, only as an example. If this idea was implemented into the game it would have to be renamed.

This system does make sense and would be a good solutions to keep things going as they are now. My biggest issue is we have all seen this over and over again, with being able to be in 5 guilds we see people leaving one guild to join another and then hoping from guild to guild about every three month's. Due to this 5 guild system and no auction house, I have not really found a good stable raiding guild and people that run together on consistent basis.
Most the time you get a good group together for a few weeks and then people fade out and new people come in, or the guild leaders get tired of the constant recruiting and rebuilding all the time. My personal opinion is come up with a solid AH and eliminate the need for trading guilds and make it one guild per character, so people build a little bit more guild loyalty and people will enjoy staying with the people they run with.
The current Guild store system, has done nothing but take up more time to run around shopping for one or two items, paying higher prices than what its going for in chat, and make it harder to sell items on any consistent basis. The multiple guilds has only encouraged people to keep leaving and joining guilds until they find something better.

A single player should not be able to browse the entire world listing of guild store items from one location.

This is the kind of information that allows people to corner the market on items(buy low sell high).

This is the kind of information that allows people to corner the market on items(buy low sell high).

This could be countered by having players limited on the amount of times they could use the EETC in one day "and the number increased with the addition of a mercantile skill line" possibly 10 times with an increase service cost with each additional use.

Players are already limited on the amount of listings they can have at one time. In order for one player to corner the entire market they would be required to do allot of traveling.

If I see a stack of material for 800 gold I would buy it, if I see the same stack for 8k gold I would probably go farm it and save my gold. The big difference to me is at least with the EETC I would know withing five to ten minutes what my options are and not 45 minutes of way-shrine hopping. I do enjoy the current system and like what the developers have come up with, however it is far from complete and needs some improvements made.

This is an outstanding suggestion! Where is that darned East Empire Company when you need them? Especially in this time frame, you would expect them to be at their most active, supplying all sides of the war in Cyrodiil and such.
