Endless loading screen after login

Hey there @Stronglion and @cecibergesnrb18_ESO‌,

In order to get a better grasp of the issue, we'd like to know which loading screen you're stuck at. Please let us know which step of the login process is causing you an issue!

1. Login screen
2. requesting login
3. Loading Screen 1 (art + spinning Ouroboros in the bottom right)
4. Character select
5. Requesting Character Load
6. Loading Screen 2 (art + spinning Ouroboros again)
7. In-game

Once we know exactly where the hangup is, we'll be able to provide more detailed steps!

It was at point 3 after the login was accepted, before the character selection.

I looked it in the forums and found that deleting the file zo_ingame could help; so I did that and it worked, but now this afternoon its happening again and that trick doesn't work. Will keep trying...

(I also tried without addons)

EDIT: It seems that minimizing the game with alt+tab and maximizing after a few seconds while the (infinite) screen is loading, fixes this sometimes. It worked 2 times for me and I read it worked for others too.

I'm having this issue as well. Twice now today alone, with me now sitting for over 20 mins and still waiting to get into the game.

I'm at point 3 as well.

Hey there folks,

Let's see if this helps then! From the login screen, select Settings on the left and choose Video. Set your graphics quality to Minimum, then hit Apply. Once that's complete, give a try to logging in.

After reaching character select for the first time, please change your settings back to what you prefer. From there, subsequent logins should be much shorter!

Minimizing the screen and typing ipconfig /flushdns in a command window sometimes works too.

Had this happen at all of these points in logging in.I tried all suggestions and now when I log in I can get a character logged in but then 2 seconds later Im dumped to the login screen again.

Tried and no difference.Got logged in for a few minutes.Tried to zone then kicked to Log In screen.

I was just trying to play on PTS and was having issues a short time ago. In another thread someone said there are problems for West coast Comcast users. That's me!
