I hoped for about a nanosecond that this was being done in response to the firestorm this has caused here and that they might take this opportunity to gather up the shreds of their dignity and integrity and give us some straight talk. Why not keep the subscription model as is for PC players. Make the game B2P for consoles and then sell the content updates on console only as DLC?

That's what I don't get. Why is B2P even a consideration for the PC... I saw very few asking to purchase race changes and all these things over the last couple months. All the bots/gold spammers were gone. And all the polls and many posts since launch the subs have spoken... but somehow they said, "We listened to the community..."
It's obviously a good model for the console, I see that, but the few on PC out weighed the many I guess(?) and it's all about the mighty buck. lol as it always is

That is one way to view it. Another way is that having a separate team for the cash shop is an indication that developers for the PVE and PVP content can still focus on those aspects of the game.2 -

Ok thanks, your link was to the real place I wanted to go but Gina's wasn't. That makes no sense to me why she would misdirect people if they really wanted to communicate and answer questions. Some of us never has a Reddit account before today.

✭That was even worse than I thought it would be. I really assumed they'd at least give some glib company speak reassurance to those angry about the B2P change, but literally--they never answered ANYTHING that was critical of the move, or any questions that brought up other games that have not fared well after bringing in a cash store. Just a bunch of "what kind of mounts will there be in the store" answers, and "how many crowns will I get for X" answers, and "Yeah, we'd like to implement that fluff feature--its on our list..." answers, but never answering anything that even hinted that there might be some concerns about what happens when an MMO switches to a cash store and B2P model. 6 people in the room, too. Ridiculous, cynical, PR crap, pretending to be responsive so now they can cross "did an AMA about B2P" off the list.
