Yawn, No why would I feel betrayed? disappointed yes not betrayed!

The reality is that not much changes if you continue to pay the sub like you do now. My main issue is that development resources will be spent on the shop and items that are put in, instead of focusing on the game itself and thus the slow down in developing content begins.

Get used to 6 month content updates or really small content updates

I don't mind the amount of time spent on items, because I like vanity items. Having a look independent of my gear would be awesome.

But that's as long as the company doesn't decide that cash shop item sales is sufficient income, and there's no need to develop content. *cough Champions Online cough*

Can't have it both ways!! trust me they are not growing their team. Vanity and store items will come at the expense of delivering content quicker.

I'm sure the decision to drop the sub requirement and have a cash shop was made for ZOS by the company that owns them, Zenimax Media Inc, wanting to increase a subsidiary's profit margin.

Now ZOS takes all the heat from enraged fans, and ZMI gets off scot-free

more surprised than betrayed. Change is exciting though, this game wasn't exactly dying but it's definitely lived on a small thread.
