ZOS trust issues

They said they were tracking exp....then said they werent.
They said it would never go free to play/buy to play. It just did.
Now they say the store wont be pay to win..
I love this game but honestly do you guys think you can continue to take their word?
I feel like I shouldnt bother cuz "everything is subject to change"

If they told me it was raining I'd stick my hand out of the window to check.
Having said that I shall continue to play while I continue to enjoy it and if or when the financial model or the ramifications thereof p155 me off too much, I shall leave.

I trust them about as much as I trust Molag Bal this morning. By 'them' I don't mean the community reps or the devs who have to say what they are told. I mean the men in suits round the boardroom table who made this decision and don't have the guts to face us themselves. Spineless horrible creatures wearing ties and obsessing over graphs and powerpoint slides. Thinking about it Mr Bal probably has a reserved seat at that very table.

I believe in them, yes, believe that they will always "take the route that promises the most money". They are a company, after all.

I didn't expect they would go f2p so soon, but I am not surprised either.

But I would honestly be surprised if the would add p2w elements for crowns. I expect that that would cause players, especially many premium users, to leave the game. They don't currently have the playerbase which would say "thank you" to a p2w system, and I believe that they know very well that p2w would decrease their income, instead of increasing it. so they won't do it.

The reason trust matters in all of this is that we are a community - both the players and ZOS together. Each depends on the other to survive and one side, ZOS, has gone and been rather dishonest with the other.

God forbid players keep ZoS accountable for their lies. OP, here's another one, they said they removed 6 month subs because they were not popular, they are back for B2P transition. Another lie then.

Trust issues? ZOS is a company, all are after profits but some at least try to maintain facade of decency for PR purposes if nothing else and many uphold quality of their products. ZOS isn't one of them and profit is king, nothing else matters.

I'm not happy. On the flip side, D&D has come out with tons of new rule books and not all were popular. We also live in a capitalistic society where money is the driving force. It's only natural. Why should they turn down bushels of cash?

There is nothing "capitalistic" regarding the Licensing Agreement you signed with them. It's a law that prevents you from returning their product for a refund. That's why they can lie, they already got your cash and you drove it off the lot.

I think that the most senior @ZOS people are putting their careers on the line. 5 years from now, when Paul Sage and Matt Firor will have moved on to a new project, future players will wonder if that new game is worth settling in since the dev team cannot be trusted.
If the transition doesn't happen smoothly, they probably won't work on new MMOs other than Candy Crush online.

What "trust." There is no trust anymore. ZoS pretty much squashed that with this final announcement. They can count on little to no loyalty from this fan base. They've squandered that. Now it basically boils down to whether or not the experience is worth the expense.

D&D "rule books" have always been "guide lines." You can pretty much take them or leave them so long as the GM is consistent...just sayin.

For now just give it another 6 to 12 months and then it will be f2p
