    I get that it would be much easier to develop underwater "zones" than it would be to incorporate underwater mechanics into existing zones but I disagree that this would be a good solution. I feel like any underwater environment should incorporate above water content as well.

    I DO agree that we don't need underwater combat, and I think this would be the way to add a less complex system first. They could very easily add underwater in stages.
    1. Add underwater diving and swimming
    2. Add wildlife
    3. Add crafting supply nodes
    4. Add treasure chests
    5. Add dungeon entrances
    6. Add combat

    The difficulty of incorporating underwater is BS... it simply is. There are WAY too many games out there that have done it... for the past 20 years games have been doing it. Maybe it's because they're using the HERO engine (or a copy-paste of the Hero Engine)... KOTOR had the same lack of underwater "issue" and ZOS famously used the Hero Engine as "inspiration' for ESO's engine.

    I like the water combat, exploration, and hazards suggestion of that KISS thread better but the rest would make a great addition.

    I agree @RAGUNAnoOne , that thread (posted Dec 2015) is quite a bit newer than this one (posted JAN 2015) and I said in the KISS thread:
    Overall, this concept goes into a bit more depth than mine does and I agree with all of it... every single syllable.

    The core concepts are basically the same between the threads but I do like a lot of the details @tinythinker added to his thread. Many of which I'm missing in this one, like underwater hazards... what a wonderful idea! He really hit the nail on the head with the underwater combat and environments. Pretty much everything @tinythinker posts is gold.

    I just hope ZOS listens that WE WANT UNDERWATER ENVIRONMENTS!!!

    +1 to the suggestions for editing water mechanics to seem more realistic, and a tentative maybe to underwater exploration. However, a giant massive unending dear-God-please-no to the water combat and skill lines. Just no. Please no. No.

    I vote on underwater combat, as I have trouble imagining it unless we're fighting off fish and gators. That said, I'm all about underwater exploration.
