1.6 on PTS next week?

They said the PTS for 1.6 will be coming out in January, and we didn't get the update today. So that leaves next monday for server maintenance and possible release on 1.6 in the PTS.

Unless of course it got delayed and we will see it some time in February. Can a Zos member say if it's getting delayed or not?

    well today is a holiday so I'm guessing and this is just pure speculation on my part, either tomorrow or next Monday for pts update.

    I thought only the bank closed for MLK Day. Our kids still had school and our office is still open.

    I think they are holding their announcements about the date because they are waiting on an issue to be solved. Maybe they expect there is a chance the issue could be solved by February and therefore hesitate with announcing a delay.

    Personally I would prefer them saying they were delayed because of the issues and rather wait with releasing until the start of February. If they manage to solve the issue by February then they get a few days extra to do some in-house testing, and if not, then at least people would be aware that it was delayed 'til next month. In my eyes a win-win situation. :smile:

    But I do know that my opinion might not be the general one. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

    Zos can't....or wont tell you the truth about release date because they don't know..lol but they can tell you how many patch notes they have for it if that will make you sleep better;)

    Right. This "it's coming soon" crap since December is driving people nuts.

    Just tell us "We've got a few thing that aren't working properly. We are aiming for January, but it may get delayed."

    So far we've been told, December, Early January, Sometime in January. And we can now infer that since it's the 19th of January, Near the End of January.

    I thought that was implied. They're trying to make it for January, but it's a HUGE patch. If they release a memo saying it'll be delayed, all they'd get for their trouble is a thread full of hateful comments. You know it's true.

    If I had to guess, I think that there was no maintenance and no patch today due to QA being busy with the testing of Update 6 last week in combination with a relative lack of update material after 1.5.8 due to Update 6 work.

    I am going to s.w.a.g. that it will take them 2-3 days to 'schedule' the installation on the PTS, so that is about the lead time that we will have. As soon as it is scheduled with all the teams that have to be at attention for the PTS install, that is when they will let us know that it is going to happen. Until then, "still shooting for January" is about all we will hear.

    We might get lucky and get a "next week" out of them, but for some reason, when they say "next week" all people hear is "Monday." :smile:

    I am holding out for the possibility that it will be Thursday or Friday of this week, but realistically, next week is more likely.

    Where I am the kids don't have school on MLK Day.

    Since the site says no server maintenance today, I figure the staff has the day off.

    Someone on the1.6 Patch thread guessed mid-Feb. for the patch to be on the PTS. Looks like that person has the best guess at the moment.

    Myself, I hope they are solving the issues they know about. We will find plenty more when the PTS is opened.

    I doubt it will be on PTS this week. If it were they would have announced it on ESO live on Friday of last week.

    All I kept hearing today(yesterday) was 1.6 is coming to PTS in a few hours (Tuesday). I don't believe it one bit, but if it does happen I shall be there myself testing all that I can out. Also my assumptions are simply they said January... wouldn't doubt if it was meant January 2016!

    ZOS promised early January and they couldnt live up to that promise, the least we can get is an update / ETA on when the PTS goes live.

    Yea, It was Martin Luther king day yesterday, it's kinda a big day for American history.

    All that ZOS really needs ro do is give us a date that's around 2 months later than when they actually think content will be pushed. We won't have to be idly anxious for updates all the time and they can have 'early' releases to make everybody happy.

    Or we can just learn to wait because we already know that content is going to be delayed more times than on time.

    They just updated the French by saying that the translated version of the notes is being reviewed, all 67 pages, and that it would be on PTS "(very) soon"

    The PTS has been updated on days other than Monday so the lack of an update yesterday means very little. However, this nugget below means far more.

    Could we see 1.6 on the PTS this week? Yes, but it is not very likely. Next week seems far more likely given ZOS' previous statements about targeting January for the PTS release. If we go past Monday, February 2 without an update, then there are some serious problems with the release.

    Unfortunately rather than adding interesting content whilst they rejigged the levelling system, they concentrated on the latter. Now the Champion system is on most people's radar as it is the 'new' content for which people are desperately waiting .
    Personally Craglorn should have been given a makeoverat at the very least whilst the champion system wasbeing put into place as it is a tremendous fail.

    NB I am ignoring Daily Undaunted as that is not new content , just 'authorised' Grinding.
