Yup, and while I don't see a future for the group that fought on behalf of and alongside the Prophet, they could expand upon the Alliance storylines.

That could be another reason, pending on if someone chose X, Y, or Z. Yup, and while I don't see a future for the group that fought on behalf of and alongside the Prophet, they could expand upon the Alliance storylines.

✭Seems to me ZOS painted themselves into a hole (to mix metaphors) when it comes to following-on the main story insofar as the remaining 'companions' are concerned, since only one is guaranteed to still exist in any possible player PoV.
As I see it, any putative continuation of the dealing with Abnur would clearly be expected to include the remaining companions, unless they had died, yet that is infeasible given the way the current story ended.
I expect there could be some cheesey way to get them back irrespective of how any particular player chose to play the final sequence but to me it would be pretty lame.
So, a continuation of the main story with Abnur I suspect is highly likely, otherwise I don't see why ZOS would have written the ending the way they did, but I'm not sure their plans, whatever they may be, will be satisfying.0
