Temple skills

So last night I got an idea from a quest I was doing. In the quest you had to cleanse 4 altars of Stendar after each one you got this cool speed buff. Then I was thinking about how in Daggerfall you could join temples as a faction that had quests they gave out. I then thought how cool it would be if there were skill lines connected with the divine figures in the TES universe. What thoughts do you have on passive and active skills for each deity?

    You mean something like this?

    (deja vu?)

I haven't reviewed it in a while so it might be dated in some areas, but the gist is still there.

Edit: Nope, still holds up pretty well :)

What would be really awesome is to have both an Aedric and Daedric version of these.

I suggested some time ago that they should make a world skill line 'priest/cultist.' This would be a skill line that would change based on which Devine entity you chose to follow. The line would have two or three active abilities, and a few pasives.

Just a few examples of how I could see each different skill line working:

    Clavicus Vile:

    *Loaded deal
    -active
-restores X majica or stamina (whichever base value is higher). After a delay, drains X of resource not restored and/or damages health. (Chance to apply regen debuff?)
Maybe a bit to much like spell symetry, but it would fit with his aspect.

    *Twisted boon
    -active
-Grants an increase in primary damage stats for X seconds. After X seconds applies an equivalent (or lesser) debuff for X seconds. Or damages regens. Or reduces resistance values.
Also in line with his aspect. A gift, later made curse.

    *Fair trade
    -passive
-Increases one value for a penalty in another. It could be something like a base stat exchange. Or it could be a damage bonus that Penalizes a stat, or even loot and rng. (You complete faster, but your loot may not be as good. Or, random procs may not be as frequent.)
I would love to be able to chose the bonus and penalty, but that could be tricky...

    *Soulsnare
    -passive
-killing an enemy sacrifices it's soul to Vile. Grants % regen. Stacks X times. Based off N'Gasta, the Sload Necromancer of Stros M'kai.

Clavicus Vile's skill tree centers around bonuses in exchange for penalties.

    Kynareth:

    *Blessing of the winds
    -active, sustained
-Grants armor, spell resist, and movement speed. (Bonus miss chance? Increased block mitigation?) Costs X magica per second or reserves X amount.
Maybe a bit too similar to lightning form...

    *Kyne's sorrow.
    -active, aoe
-damages enemies and heals allies within its radius. (Proportional to number of enemies/allies inside?)

    *Blessing of the traveler
    -passive
    -increases stamina regeneration.

    *Bastion of nature
-successful blocks/dodge/miss grant a pbaoe for X seconds. Stacks up to five times. Deals X dps. (Or maybe increased health regen/ heals)

So, a bit based around tanking.

I really enjoyed the Temple and Imperial Cult quests in Morrowind. They were about helping people, not hurting them. I would like to see something like this offered. It would be a nice counter to the DB and Thieves.
Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.
