Every day there's half a dozen new posts on this issue. It's distracting and has no added value whatsoever. Please keep 1 or 2 trending discussions and kill the rest. Please.

Meh let the tin-foil hats shake in their boots. ZoS hasn't answered them for one of either 2 reasons: It's true and they're waiting on when/how to tell their paying customers. Or it's false and their laughing all day in the office reading "the world is going to end, ESO is going F2P" threads.

I agree, there is no reason for anyone to be asking if the game is going down that path, let alone the dozen or so we've seen over the last week.

I agree, there is no reason for anyone to be asking if the game is going down that path, let alone the dozen or so we've seen over the last week.

Don't get me wrong. I have nothing against discussing the merits or demerits of f2p. I just feel that there's too much noise to even make sense of whatever discussion there is. Same with the 100 different topics about the champion points.

There's a reason for it, just not a good one. I guarantee you most of them are just forum trolls trying to stir up a frenzy. Unless you douse their posts with fire they will just keep regenerating.

I disagree. This is important to a lot of us. And until the developers bother to give us a definite answer on it I don't think there can be enough threads about it. So I think the constant nagging does serve a purpose and is useful. Sometimes it's necessary to berate an answer out of someone.

It's unfortunate that Zenimax doesn't do what it should and just give us a definite answer about rather or not they have plans to go F2P. I'm not crazy about the idea myself. I've never seen a game improve after going F2P. In fact they almost always turn to crap and I would hate to see that happen here because ESO is a good game. So it's an issue that concerns me.

You can't deny that the signs are there - such as removing the 6 month subscription plan and pulling the box sales from retail stores. The fact they refuse to simply put this issue to rest does nothing but fuel the speculation. So I think the threads are warranted, justified, and I encourage more of them.

I don't see why it wouldn't. The greater and more visible a concern is - it's pretty logical to assume that's going to garner more attention. There is strength in numbers. Unless they are wanting to avoid the issue and being silent on purpose.

And I disagree. The more people creating topics about this and asking for answers the better. That shows that people are concerned about this and want to know the truth.

Some of the new thread generators are clearly trolling but some are just stomping their feet and crying out for attention because they do not feel loved and appreciated.

The appropriate response to the obvious troll posts is the "flag" button - not available on mobile version but viewable in full site mode. I'd like to see "flag" renamed to "douse in fire" but that would probably take too much space.

In the meantime it's unfortunate that more constructive threads are getting pushed aside for constant repeats of the same question. They answered the question of why they removed the six month sub. I understand some people don't believe the answer but it's not the same as not answering the question.

The alleged discussion on F2P is degenerating into a bunch of hearsay and conspiracy theories spread over dozens of topics. I would really like to see some moderation, but won't lose any more time over this. I've stated my case. Enjoy the game and the forums, everyone!

People are afraid to lose what they love, and they need to express that fear somehow, in order to gain relief from the pressure.

All those doom-sayers, fear-mongers, and morbid commenters have issues admitting and embracing their loving feelings, hence the obsession with discussing their fears.

Sometimes I'd like to think about game forums as nothing but a shrink's couch. It surely makes more sense viewing them this way.
