Given the holiday season throws everybody off at every job I've ever worked to... I'm okay with delays around the holidays. As much as I want new armor and Khajiit treats, I also know the devs want to spend time with loved ones and families.

It's really easy to dehumanize devs and forget they have lives, friends and families. They want to game, too. December is NOT a month for productivity. January is International Catch Up month.

What I don't understand though is this:

Every single person here that is unhappy has the ability to simply walk away from the situation and be done with it

You compare a subscription to a videogame to a tangile object, in this example a TV;If you were not happy with the TV, the TV technically WORKS as advertised, but there are glitches and things that aren't perfect. Maybe the T.V. just turns off randomly or the channel changes automatically or HBO doesn't come in right (TV Should be immediately shot) AND the store that sold it to you wouldn't take it back (eg. reasons) you would ditch the TV and never buy Samsung again. This is totally different anyway because you are not directly purchasing the TV from samsung, you are purchasing from a third party which has no direct coloration to the product. Unless of course you are buying a 'house' brand which in case you 'get what you pay for'

Most people would not go to the Samsung forums (Do they even HAVE forums) and say FIX MY TV OR I'M BRINGING IT BACK TO WALMART AND WHILE YOU ARE AT IT MAKE IT 3D AND ALSO I DON'T LIKE RED BECAUSE IT OVERPOWERS GREEN SO TAKE OUT RED. ERMAGAD I HATE YOU.

See the difference is people are a lot more rational when it comes to physical objects.

There is no physical object to rage here and honestly you have zero legs to stand on, every single argument brought up against Zenimax means absolutely nothing, because they hold all the cards. The only thing you can do is take your money and go somewhere else, thats it.

This is why I am so intrigued by the process, I understand the emotion, I empathize with the emotion, but I also pragmatically understand that no amount of me stamping my feet and crying in the aisle is going to get me the candy I want.

There's a problem all the way to the core in this game and it's operating company.
They don't care about you. No matter what they spout on website's or live shows, you are just a Bank roll to them.
Take this last week or 2...so much bad feeling now thru the playerbase and it's causing even bigger splits and dare I say it....Hate towards peoples play styles.
Ie, its your fault this game is broke cos you PVE pants....and No it's your fault cos your PvP noobs, your causing our style of game to be broken ect...

This could all have been stopped early on or atleast calmed down by a simple...."we have lots to discuss but lets just get the Christmas vaca out of the way first so we can all speak not just the ones that logged in for half hour" ect...

Zenimax has actively incited riotous behaviour over this same period by just releasing snippets of info which even a 2 year old could see will rage the calmest of players. They should read their own RoC.

"So what does this have to do with me?" I hear you ask.
Well nothing and everything, just thought you should know what the people your pleading and begging at think of you.....CASH....that's all you are.

@yodased - Okay, but if this forum was created so that ZOS would listen (as they stated) then wouldn't our logical choice be to come here and see if we couldn't get it resolved? Just like calling Samsung customer help. And as for this being a service, it doesn't work other than I can log in and play some of what I was told was here. So yes it does "work as advertised".
    - My wife works for a satellite provider. So that is a service, but they have whole departments that take complaints AND they issue "free X" whenever someone is dissatisfied with the service. Same logic here. And as for taking money elsewhere or "crying in the isles" - both valid, except, first "customer service complaint (not crying in the isle, but I'd do that too if it worked) and then I will take my money and go. Which is worse, "crying in the isle" or "throwing a tantrum and taking my bat and ball and leaving"? Cause by your logic, I wasted my money here, I am totally screwed, and I should just go. Then I ask, how much fun will the game be when everyone is just like you? Or, the people who spend the most leave (and just a reference here, not trying to offend) then who drives your development? Maybe the F2P people? Because as a business, they will be forced to change the game to suit the people they can entice to play. Who cares if they lose a few now, they'll get more right? So what if the next F*** you comes at costing you the way you play? Well guess what, we would all be gone, so who cares right?

@Morshire now you may better understand my position. My logic dictates that you may very well feel 'effed' and honestly I think ZoS gives zero things about that.

Beyond that, they care not for me nor any particular individual on these forums nor who play their games.

As a collective, sure we matter, but individually we matter as much to them as a grain of sand in the hourglass.

Being upset and angry over something I literally have no control over means I am wasting my energy.

If this game or the company that ran it ever got me even close to the amount of upsetness (word?) I have witnessed in the last few days I would be so unsubbed and never looking back by now it would be like Vortex and crew found me alone at Fara mine.

Am I mad, yeah. $440 for something and 8 months hasn't gotten it. And take my money somewhere else, sure, but what about the money spent? And as for this being just "entertainment", all the post should point to the fact that people aren't feeling entertained.

I would gladly wait 6 months for something that was stable and fun to play. But tell me I am going to have to wait 6 months BEFORE you take my money. (Or a free bag of cat food as a consolation prize). Just saying that I see what the "other side" is saying, but why does the side voicing their dissatisfaction have to be:

While the option to unsub is always there I think it's better to continue to support ESO and ZOS with our subscriptions and to let them know, through these forums, of the grievances we may have. That is the only way to try to help ESO succeed. Unsubbing offers no feedback while it simultaneously pulls funds from development. That's a lose/lose situation.

I'm here on these forums to support ZOS. I'm subbed because I believe in ESO.

    Update 1 - 6 Weeks
    Update 2 - 5 Weeks
    Update 3 - 5 Weeks
    Update 4 - 7 Weeks
    Update 5 - 6 weeks

Whether or not you consider those patches to be new content or not is irrelevant really. Personally I'm not a fan of chat bubbles but they were added in at some point and I'm sure there's people that did a happy dance. I'm not at end game (been playing casual since beta) so Trials aren't a thing for me but when they were added, people did a happy dance. I love dyeing my armor so when that hit I did the happy dance.

Not every update is going to be something everyone wants but up until this mega-update/game changer 1.6 they've absolutely kept to their schedule with the exception of one week during update 4.

Do I feel lied to? Nope.

I feel they had made a declaration of intent, then found their plans a bit too optimistic, and adjusted them for what they could manage with the resources they had. It happens all the time, in life. It will happen again.

One learns to deal with it. Doesn't mean one has to like it. Though as update schedules go, I'd rather have them take their time and have less bugs then be quick and more bugs.

So apparently the message we are receiving from people who don't care that there are complaints on these threads...well at least not complaints that they care about....is that if I don't like it, I can either shut up, or go away? Getting punched in the face for $15 a month would seem stupid, but you would have told me I was getting punched in the face before I gave you money. Well in that case, keep going cause I am getting my monies worth right? Now look at this correctly, if you told me you were punching me in the face for $15, then you did something else, I would have a leg to stand on.
As for the NASA thing, pretty sure you didn't pay for the experience of going to a shuttle launch, but if you did, I would be asking for a free pass for the time when it launched since you'd already paid.
And for Spiderman, seriously need to go there with that one?
So the choice becomes shut up and take it, or leave? So then we should just lay down, take our losses, and move to another game? What about the investment of time and money already given to a game? What if, we are trying to support the game we all enjoy, but have complaints? We shouldn't work towards getting things fixed to the benefit us all? We should just cut our subs and move on? So why did we leave our old games? (Insert your complaint here) Well that is where they are going for players. ZOS will be forced to change the game to attract new players since so many are just going to "shut up and move on". All those F2P games, or crappy whatever. Those people stay, and ZOS will want them. How do they get them, make this game like those players want. Whatever that means.
But rather than have us complain and hope for a resolution, you told me to go away. So technically, when it is your turn to complain, I won't hear it or care. But maybe those new players ZOS pulls in will treat you with as much kindness and understanding that you have so valiantly displayed here.

I agree. The point is that why does ZOS continue to say that that is what to expect? Why not say, "Holy F***, we screwed the pooch. We want this right, so we need time." This would stop most of the complaints. Heck, if they really wanted to be big. "Since we couldn't deliver as previously discussed, those that have a sub prior to X date (date of message works) will get 1 week access at start BEFORE those that come after." Small really don't you think. The complaint isn't whether we "expect" to much, the complaint is "STOP F***ING LYING TO US."

I don't "expect" anything more than what has been told to me, by ZOS, when they asked me to pay my sub. Nothing more, nothing less. If it changes, okay. Say that, then make me feel like not such a dumb A** for believing them and offer me a sweetroll. Bam, problem solved. But to continuously mislead the player base is wrong. Whatever the point. Correct course, make some offering, and then continue to give us a good game. It really is that simple.

Or maybe I am just a crybaby that wants a sweetroll.

I understand I may come off on the "other" side than people that are upset and I feel sad about that.. that's not how I personally feel if that matters, I feel that there really is no side to join, it simply is how they say it is and I accept that or I don't.

Valid point @yodased. If this was a F2P game, I'd shut my mouth and ??????? It is not. And be this entertainment or a TV or the Amazing Spiderman. We all pay for this game. I personally do not feel like my money has delivered the "experience" advertised. Maybe you and others do. Great, go have some fun. I will be in game shortly. But I personally do not feel the way you do about this. And if I spend half my time till my sub runs out fighting for something I paid for in these forums, you can bet your A** I am going to. I am not advocating for people to unsub. I know from experience that it will lead down a road I would not want for this game. I want people to gather together under a common banner, be it this or something else, and make our voices heard at ZOS. Maybe, rather than having to "run away mad", someone will say, "Crap, our fanbase is mad and we need to fix it." And then guess what, good players stay and we can all go beat each others A**** in Cyrodiil and the loser gets to cry over mead later. And if I have to respond to every comment about "Your so stupid." or "Shut up and unsub." or "WHAAAA crybaby" or whatever other mature thing that is spewed, I spent the money to be here, same as everyone else. Going to get my money out of it, even if it means spending that time left "laying in the isle throwing a temper tantrum." Remember, play as you want.
