Okay wasn't sure where to drop this thread so going to put it here. It appears the named Wamasu that spawns in the Sunken Lair needed to complete The Slithering Brood quest line is no longer spawning. I have numerous guildies who are now stuck in Upper Craglorn as a result of this. We have checked numerous times on a daily basis and still no spawn. Sadly I have submitted two tickets as did the players in my guild and not as much the usual courtesy email I see from Zenimax has come to any of us. Sure this isn't game breaking but it certainly stops players from progressing in the main upper questline and unlocking Nirnhoned. Has anyone else noticed this?

Ditto. Very frustrating to run into this wall after finishing the lower craglorn quest line.

I dropped the quest and repeated it more than 4 times over the last 4 days - there were points where I had killed the Eggbearer, but not destroyed the eggs, and vice versa... but sadly, never both.

Well let's hope today's maintenance fixes this one. I know it was the holidays but sheesh seems Zeni went on vacation for the month.

It is odd though as some seem to have seen the Eggbearer / Wamasu and yet whenever I go into the Sunken Lair to check for the guildies who need it she is not there. I was fortunate to have completed the quest a little while ago but we have numerous guildies stuck right now on this quest, which of course prevents them from advancing / finishing the Upper Craglorn quest chains and thus unlocking access to the 9th trait. They have also been checking on a regular basis and she is not spawning. Haven't checked in a day or two so will swing by today once the NA server is back up. I'm willing to bet she won't be there because there is NO patch notes for today so I'm assuming it is server maintenance.

Same issue here. I have checked many times, but no eggbearer. You can destroy the eggs, but they seem to be listed as the objective after killing the boss.

Thanks for the continued reports, folks. So that we can track this bug down, please be sure to submit bug reports using /bug when the wamasu eggbearer does not spawn for you. Bug reports contain some automatically generated information that will be helpful in our investigation.

As an aside, we've moved this thread to the support section so that others with this issue can more easily find it. Thanks for your understanding!

It spawned for my group, and we were able to kill it, but it is WAAAAAYYY op... One-shotting a character STRAGHT THROUGH A ROCK??? WTF kind of stupid design is this???

Yes she has a ranged AOE. If my memory serves me it is a three "pronged" lightning attack that skirts along the ground. We had to range her when we took her down but ONE hit from that AOE even in block is almost certain death.

Got the same problem, no boss.
I visited that place multiple times in the last 24 hours and only the normal wamasus respawn.

I saw it today, at random, checking the cave. It was spawned for no reason, then was despawned when nobody killed it after ~15 minutes.

Checked again later, not there.

Wondering if there is a random time set that it spawns during, and if this is why people are not finding it right at the moment (It was somewhere ~ 1:30-1:45 pm pacific time U.S., or around 4:30 pm eastern.) Adding this to attempt to assist with troubleshooting.

Also, damage output (I played around a little since I was solo at the time:)

Ranged single target attack: ~12k lightning damage. Block helps reduce it nicely.
Ranged multi-target attack: ~14-15k lightning damage. Block helps, but only a little (~10-11k with block.)
Melee range frontal cone: Damage was so minimal it couldn't kill my imp minion with no healing done. Seeing this, I jumped in, and it tickled at best.
Melee range attacks: Damage was so minimal that my imp took 5 and didn't blink. Standing there in cloth, I could more than heal this part using my healing from casting dark magic spells. Very underpowered in melee.

It despawned after I got tired of playing around while I asked if anyone needed it to no replies. I'm guessing many people have abandoned this quest as it seems to be long in being fixed.

Today I checked again. Around 3:30 PM pacific time I pulled in two guild members who needed this, and we killed the boss. I noted it in zone, but there was no response.

It seems this boss is not spawning for the quest, but rather on some sort of schedule.

In order to kill the boss, we ensured at least 18k HP, and had dedicated healing with 2 dps. The boss is very easy melee damage wise, so all we really needed was healing for the ranged attacks. At this point the boss was easily defeated. Damage seemed consistent with my earlier testing numbers, enough to need healing, but not really broken.

I do suggest those looking simply swing by the location. Defeating 1 wamasu to get inside isn't hard, and you can advertise for help if it is up.

Update for today:

Went in to help another guild member. Boss was up. We engaged.

Ranged single target was doing about 17k this time.
Ranged AOE was doing over 24k.

Not sure what the difference was, but today the boss was waiting by the eggs instead of in the main cave already, and we had to kill the local Wamasu to bring her forth. This was not the case the other times.

I was in yesterday with a party, we are waiting nearly 30 minutes.... no eggbearer.

later i went in again alone and was waiting there for 1 hour...no eggbearer

today the same as yesterdy.

by the way..I have send yesterday a ticket, up to now (24hrs later) no answer
