I'm retired and making 1/3 income of what I did working, and $15 isn't a big deal. It's like seeing one or two movies a month. IMO if a person can't afford this than they are truly poor.

As for the ESO gift cards, I would be leery of buying gift cards from another country. What happens if ESO doesn't accept the cards, how do you get your money back? Are you comfortable giving you credit card information to an unknown store in another country?

Does the Russian store honor the legal protections offered by your country if the gift cards are rejected for some reason.

Just did this and got a good 180 days for 51 dollars. There are cheaper, but went with a site that would take the transaction through an e-wallet instead of a credit card.

Generally you should not use credit cards on websites in general. If you use an account with a wallet that you can periodically fill up from your bank or credit card that will save you a headache later on. If you do make credit card payments online, check that they use secured payment options. You can use search tools or check with your credit card company for some of these sites to look for. Never go with sites that want to store things like your name, address, etc. Unless it's a trusted site you'very fully checked out.


Meanwhile the price reduction is starting to rubberband back and things are getting sold out fast. Seems a lot of people saw the savings for eso time cards. and other games. Also make sure you get the codes digitally, no use waiting and finding out if they gave a bum deal. Most russian game sites though are as secure as the American sites, but still do your research if you're worried about scams

An even better idea is a single use card number for general web purchases. Does not work for auto-renewing subscriptions or places that like to charge the same card multiple times per purchase. If anyone steals the card number, they will find that it does not work.

Why not?

In the US, most credit cards are capped for personal liability in the event that someone steals it. Debit cards may not have that protection. Individual accounts may vary. Check with the bank or company that issues the card.

Hope, it's a region lock in future and/or ban for exploit "a bug". GL HF for you from all small Rus comunity of this nice game. If u cant pay ur region price, u may cansel subb or move to Russia then. This would be fair and not an exploit.

And yes, what's the real reason of trying to push ppl to buy game time via Rus sites and/or jumping in this region? What's your profit of it? Not ur personal profit of the way u pay it now, but for profit of all comunity to jump in this region?

Ah, i know, if there would be really big ammount of ppl from Russian region, they'll translate ESO in Russian language faster. But i'm not sure, should i thank you for that or not...

I don't think that ESO get a huge sub boost even if the game will be translated into russian someday.

I have to wonder why? Is it that they are not so good in English or just generally like Russia more.

Most things nowdays you can have localization in Finnish but personally I never go that route and almost cry when someone has their OS in Finnish.
