For those of us who played SWTOR from launch the JESUS PATCH should rings some bells. It was the 4 month patch that pretty much was to make or break the game as far as staying p2p vrs f2p with cash store. Now I am in no way suggesting that this should be or should not be however I wonder for those really struggling with the game is time running out? What patch is your last straw?

I will stay and play. For SWTOR things still work out and i still enjoy it. It's not really f2p since i sub, but all in cashshop is cosmetical. I don't think TESO will go f2p anytime soon.
The future content i really look forward to. It is going into a good direction meaning it is actually becoming more of a TES-game. Now a better inventory system like we had in Morrowind/Daggerfall and i will be very content.

Blending the disciplines of the stealthy agent and subtle wizard, I move unseen and undetected, foil locks and traps, and teleport to safety when threatened, or strike like a viper from ambush. The College of Illusion hides me and fuddles or pacifies my opponents. The College of Mysticism detects my object, reflects and dispels enemy spells, and makes good my escape. The key to a nightblade's success is avoidance, by spell or by stealth; with these skills, all things are possible."

If the Justice System and Champion Systems suck or if there are new game breaking issues introduced in the next patch I don't see how I could continue justifying this game to myself.

I PvE only and so far they seem to have only improved my play experience (occasional lag spike notwithstanding) as such I have no problem in staying.

I would even go further as to say that if it goes F2P then I am out. No further thought required. Thank you and goodnight.

I wanted to do seeing it through and if it goes f2p I'm gone. Really as long as money if going towards development I'm fine waiting it out. There are ups and downs. If it goes f2p it'll be all downhill and I'm not going with it there
And so did many brave men, women, and beast fall to the end of Beta, never to be heard from again. All that is left, is whispers of the adventures they had.

No vote because the options presented are far too limiting.

There are things I love about the game and things I literally hate about the game. Many of the things I hate are those niggling little irritants like failure of skills to fire that crop up far too often and cause deaths of characters over and over again.

There are some significant balance issues -- in PvE, no less! -- that are extremely annoying; I play eight characters, different classes and different skill sets, and I keep them around the same level, so the balance issues become very apparent: e.g., one of my sorcerors can easily go into a delve with mobs three levels higher and beat it handily, to include the boss, yet none of my tanking or healing charaters can do the same... DPS is the king in the game, by far, and damage mitigation and healing are inadequate; you can't absorb the mobs damage adequately and you can't heal through it either.

There are so many design oversights that I can only attribute to either sloppiness in design or sheer arrogance on the dev's part that I'd like to reach through the screen and choke someone. There is such an obviously flawed testing approach to their code development -- apparently no regression testing at all -- that it makes me grit my teeth.

I still end up writing a lot of /bug reports in EVERY play-session; not as many as in Beta or at release, but still a lot. And sometimes some of the problems in-game are severe enough that ZOS gets some rather angry /feedback reports.

I don't play games to get angry... I play games to have fun. So, when the frustration level exceeds the fun factor, that is when I'll leave.

I have no pre-set limit. I have enjoyed the game since beta, and I am enjoying it now. I am very much against "free to play", and also, I know that several deadlines have passed so far for when this was supposed to happen.

With Justice/Championship Systems, Imperial City, Murkmire, and Wrothgar alone still in the pipeline, with lots of other stuff we don't know about yet being put together, and with the console version still getting love in development, I still see no imminent F2P crisis looming. Lots of folks have said they were done after "X". Well, various "X"s have come and gone, some players left, some have come back, the game is still here.

a lot can happen in 3 months so best of luck, tbh I have no interest in arena unless its something like a elimination gladiator kind of 1 vrs 1 matches to show skill with class but not a group thing.

I will continue subscribing as long as I have the money to spare, and/or as long as the game exists.

EDIT: Sorry, finally changed my mind and chose the third option.

About the F2P option... I don't know. I depends on how it'd work, I guess.

    My main issue is direction.

I see more and more since release of forced group content (yes I know its an MMO, and I do group, but having nothing relevant to do at end game unless I have 3 other people makes me pay a lot less).

I see more an more encounters designed around certain classes being in certain roles with certain gear.

I see a lack of acknowledgement that itemization is currently terrible in PVE, and lack of basic things like a token system for undaunted gear and the new head and shoulders sets instead of horrible RNG chances. I am not running a vet dungeon 70 times on the small chance I will get a head of the correct armor type and trait.

I see PVP that is (when it works at all) heavily tilted towards zergs where 90% of the time individual skill and build is irrelevant, also where each faction has their pet totally owned map, and only the perpetually full Thornblade has any PVP at all.

I'm hoping that these are know issues to ZOS. I hope the champion system gives back some build flexibility. I hope seasonal gear will be better itemized. I hope spellcrafting will mean the end of "LF 1 Templar healer and 1 Sorc DPS" as opposed to "LF 1 tank and 1 DPS".

But we will see. I think if by summer the direction is right I will stay, if the direction continues as it has been this fall my interest will continue to wane. I think I'm not alone in this because:
    1) PVPers are bored can barely pvp and the rewards suck if you aren't on 24/7 (the top 2%)
    2) PVEers are bored because even with the undaunted pledges the reasons to repeat dungeons are pretty weak
    3) More casual players and TES fans are bored because all end game content is 4 man or better, there is no solo end game or crafting end game

So gloom and doom, but I hope they will pull it off and will wait at least another 6 months to see.

@amasuriel I think a major problem here is that the only content developers make for soloing now is all doable in a few days if it didn't come out with the launch of in a big expansion.

I still miss the days of EQ where quests would have you gather random items and could take MONTHS to complete but you were rewarded with an amazing ring or other item you could equip. It wasn't so much a game breaker, but it was worth the time you put into it and anyone could get it. But it gave me something to do when my buddies weren't on. It gave me a goal to achieve when I was online by myself for an hour or two just trying to kill some time.

As is, if I'm not in group content I've got nothing to do but a few achievements that I don't even care to get. I'm at 12k achievement points and literally no desire to go after the fishing or collections achievements.

I don't play any f2p games, so I would be gone instantly.

My main gripe now is AvA seems broken. See threads elsewhere. That's the main reason I play ESO. However, I love Tamriel enough to keep pve-ing with the hope that more love is shown for AvA: game performance, faction/campaign balance, fixing buff server and former emperor BS, etc.

So, probably will stick it out for another six months unless something better comes along.

provided the single player experience stays steady along the lines of what it's like now, I'll be fine for at least another year - that's mostly due to the fact that I have very limited playtime, and I'm rather enjoying casually making my way through the questlines

add another year to that if they put out some additions/expansions that include more story/single player content

dedicated multiplayer content is less important to me, but I enjoy it enough that it'll tide me over for a few more months I expect - so, unless ESO manages to somehow TOTALLY torpedo it's own game, I'll be here for optimistically about 2 more years at least

now, if the game goes free to play? I'll be putting on my lifejacket, finishing up whatever I'm doing, and all faith in the future will be drained away - I'm still willing to be pleasantly surprised in a f2p ESO that doesn't prostitute itself, but most F2P designs basically sacrifice story/quality content creation for store-content creation, which inevitably leads to crappy game (Star Trek Online is my current model for the worst of free-to-play experiences)

I want to see it through to what ever, but if it goes f2p I will check it out but doubt I will stay, have not found a f2p game I can enjoy yet, even ones that offer a sub choice, most of the time your sub benefits are so watered down that it is just not worth it and you still need to spend lots and lots of money to have a decent game experience.:(

I couldn't be happier with the state of the game. I've been here since beta, enjoying the game more than any other MMO I've ever played. I don't see ESO going F2P in the next year, with the launch of consoles playerbase should be stable for quite some time.

Sure I'm looking forward to champion system, not so much justice system, but I'm pretty impressed with ESO already. Keep pumping out that content :)

OK let me rephrase the request. Show me an MMO that has everything correct and has NO complaints. PVP, PVE, AvA, etc, etc works without any problems. Also I do NOT like cartoonish games. I don't think that there will be a "Jesus Patch" for ESO because the community is too varied and no single update will contain everything.

Don't forget that the cumulative content in 1.6 and 1.7 is expect to contain the entire remaining work on the Champion System and Justice System. Treating either of them as independent updates is wrong in terms of these two items.

I think that things like Cyrodiil lag and PVP balance will continue to be incrementally addressed from patch to patch, update to update. It may be hard to point at a particular version of ESO and say "this fixed it"... and have everyone agree.

I am most looking forward to Update 8 and we will see if Zenimax can live up to it.

If you think Chrono is a cartoonish game you've obviously never played Chrono. And I will have fun with it because after 20 years of playing it I am still finding new and interesting things that I didn't know about. And that't without DLC, Add-ons, Mods or expansions. Game designers wish they could make a game that is that awesome.
