The State of PvP

So lets discuss the glorious state of PvP shall we?

Alliances abusing the broken low population mechanic to get 1400+ points per tick

Horrendus lag making the one competitive server unplayable

blatant exploiting runnning unchecked by ZOS

HUGE amount of bugs(getting tired of this postern door crap)

transiting resulting in an unnecissarily long loading screens

Huge majority of the PvP playerbase Nightcapping everything(may as well use the term)

Buff servers

HUGE population imbalance(poor DC:()

HUGE class imbalance(poor sorcerers:()

OP/broken skills/playstyles remaining unfixed such as the truely ridiculous lethal arrow heal de-buff stacking

Lack of concern from ZOS for the thing they advertised their game on(PvP)

lets see what else..... oh!!!! how could i forget?? the huge blobs of people clumping together and spamming impulse like its no tommorow, causing huge skill delay, attacks to not cause damage, siege to not work, and the transformation of ESO PvP into a microsoft PowerPoint type of PvP.

PvP is doing just grand isin't it?

Let's see:

- Block bugs out and makes you drop block even while still holding the button down.
- Bolt escape bugs out and doesn't port you, have to relog to fix.
- Health bars still desync with DMG in large fights.
- Wep swap was somehow turned back into crap mode after being fixed previously.
- New sound culling system does for sounds what the particle culling system did to gfx, all sounds dissapear in large fights and dont come back for 10+ min after. Guess the game decided none of your sounds were important.

Add to the list: camps that are removed from the game, but then not really because ZOS didn't disable remaining camps and to add insult to injury gave players in EU almost a whole day to stockpile them.

This really was a stupid move by them, I have tried to point it out before but they never listen.
They also list all the known bug which will be fixed in PTS notes, so you can abuse them for an extra month before that version hits live.

its not impulse causing the lag. It's healing springs. Watch next time in those keep fights how many clump up and spam it. Guilds have already admitted to doing it on purpose because others do it.

Stuck in combat bug, been here since release and infuriating to see your group ride off while you try to keep up running behind whilst spamming H only to be told you cannot mount while in combat. I, AM, NOT. IN. F******. COMBAT! seriously... fix it.

I'd add the fact that pvp guilds are in a state akin to McCarthyism right now. The rampant inability of ZoS to police their own game and the instability of the servers creates a situation where unreasonable,baseless accusations are flung on a daily basis, e.g., claiming that groups are using healing springs when they aren't, placing the blame for lagging on a smaller group and not noticing the zerg of yours, outnumbering them 5-1, spamming impulse,etc. Instead of properly placing the blame on poorly maintained servers, we're blaming each other and treating other factions as boogymen. It was funny for the first week or so, but now it's unproductive, baseless qqing similar to the qqing about Vamp DKs being "hackers" during the start of the game.

Wild speculation and "baseless accusations" come when there are no facts or official communication given. In that light, zos is encouraging the infighting amongst their player base.

Anyone know where we can look to see zos' responses? To be honest I never know where to find them they are too tucked away in the forums.

I only really give a *** about the insane lag. The rest can all be dealt with, but the lag is something you just cannot deal with short of ALT+F4.

The lack of communication and action from ZOS' side is the main source of a lot of toxicity among players. Even among guildies you can clearly see that people's moods are down and patience is running thin.

All of these annoy me to no end. Plus, you have the stuck in combat problem, which is particularly deadly if you try to heal someone. Then there is the inexcusable delay in the Imperial City was allegedly done over two months ago apart from some itemization issues.

The most troubling thing for me might be the ZOS' lack of concern, though. If I thought they cared, then there might be a chance that all of these issues would be fixed. Unfortunately, I don't think they give two cents about their PVP game. If it doesn't impact the console release, then ZOS does not care.

Aldmeri Vice - Guild is dead, only 2-3 of us left
TKO - Do raid nights with them twice a week
Lag - not fixed
Subscription Status - Unsubscribed, expires Dec 22 (resub is unlikely, possible, but unlikely)
Confidence level - zero
Care - not a one anymore.

Summary, I will continue to play until my sub runs out, with TKO primarily, a couple nights a week, or whenever I feel like it. I am done with ESO and have been for about two weeks now. I will continue to monitor the forums, but I have zero passion for the game in the state Cyrodiil is in. My Vice guildies were the last thing keeping me here. Chances are we are going to another game until such time as ESO becomes what it could have been, what it was advertised to be.

I lament the sheer amount of time and effort I put into this game, ever since beta. It weighs heavily on me, I dont like leaving games, especially not ones I started from the beginning.

The last time I logged in to play, thursday, I was in a TKO group. I played for 2 hours, of those 2 hours I spent nearly 30 minutes unable to do anything due to lag, load screens, and freezes. I logged out in frustration. What is the point anymore?

I haven't given up hope yet because I am one of the rare pvpers that love to pve also. I always knew a daoc remake would be a huge hit and I still think it could. This game came sooo close to that and I think it could still get there but the performance issues are destroying that chance every day.

Our guild started with so many players we had to have 2 guilds. We were near 1000 players and have added many from then till now. We are down near 200 logged in over the past week.

We are lucky to get 12 people together once a week for a trials attempt and its rarely the same 12 which makes it very hard to get very far. We normally have between 10 and 20 out in cyrodiil a day. We had many folks who had never tried pvp in any game and when they went out on a guild night they fell in love only to stop going because of the total unplay ability at times. My guess is if not for the performance of the game we would field 30 to 40 a night. Now we are lucky to have 30 to 40 a night logged into the game.

I know they are working on the issues but im afraid if they don't hurry they wont have to worry about it in a month or 2. The population in pvp is telling the story. New pve content, even if it is in the middle of cyrodiil, will not bring back or keep pvp players.

Maybe so, but I legit cant find the will to log in knowing full well that I might get into a solid fight once after an hour of lagbombed BS at a keep full of people just waiting on defense ticks.

Or go to do a pledge, get 20 second delays when someone is deposing emp on thorn.

I dont have enough people anymore to raid a buff server, its pretty much go solo or blob it up on thornblade, and im sick of thornblade.

I really hope the Justice System brings back World PVP in MMOs. I am not a big fan of Cyrodill and miss games that focused on World pvp. I would totally raid towns and stuff and get a player bounty on my head so if I am questing or something players can still try and kill me if they have a contract, haha. Not sure how the Justice System will turn out but in my opinion that is the best kind of PVP when you can combine PVE with a PVP environment all in one. I know people say that is what Cyrodill tries to do but I prefer the actual questing zones and world zones. So many caves and places to hide and so on and more immersion. I think good world PVP could make ESO incredible. Being confined to Cyrodill kills it for me personally and is the main issue.
