I've been happy with the balance they've struck. Might be due to me never experiencing the bugs people post, but thus far the updates have done nothing but improve my playtime.

    Do it like EVE Online:

Push for a patch almost every month or every second month. People like that.

I like the schedule, I just dislike the priorities. There has been precious little for PvPers, and the Imperial City delay just makes it worse.
Templars are 'just slower... by design'
Yes, Gina actually said that (at least regarding Rushed Ceremony) right here:

6-8 for big ones like update 6 since it has 2 updates in one. 4 weeks for a smaller one

    6-8 Weeks
I chose every 6-8 weeks only because there was no option for:

Only release new content when it's been well tested, and without bugs.

    Every Quarter
Bug fixes should come as they are available; small patches (with actually tested code; what an idea!) instead of large patches. Basic queuing theory (although I doubt ZOS is savvy enough to understand this): small patches on a frequent basis allow for much faster downloads and less downtime because server load is dramatically reduced (less contention between players attempting network access via the various available ports). Updates should be MANAGED; that is, they should be scheduled on a periodic basis separate and distinct from bug fixes. That way there are less opportunities for updates to screw up all the things that have just been fixed...

Unfortunately, I don't think ZOS has the management savvy to figure this out... it's not like no other company has ever handled this stuff and they couldn't learn from other's successes and their own failures...

With that statement you are basically saying that Zenimax is inept and incapable of releasing anything other than bug-filled, untested updates. And you are fine with that.

    Yup, 100% correct.

Go through all the patch notes to look at all the previous patches, that have fixed bugs, glitches, exploits, things working as not intended. The list is huge. Not saying that ZOS don't fix their problems or don't seem to be trying. They are do and they are.

But ZOS has released every update since game release that has been riddled with bugs and problems.

Seriously OP? You want to set a schedule for content updates in a MMO?

Gah, I hope you get what you want.

Actually, I take that back. I like this game and want to keep playing it. I hope they do updates when they are ready.

The statement you quoted is completely ignorable, as it's trying to elevate the discussion to a completely different level, away from content towards a discussion not intended. Just skip it, do not feed the troll.

I agree. Forced schedule times means you must deliver something, even if it is just a colection of new bugs...
