Console Error: CGFontSetShouldUseMulticache
I'm getting the following error in my Console log:
I couldn't find a previous reference to this error in this forum. My question is: How much performance degradation.
Running Mavericks 10.9.5 on a 2010 Mac Pro 5,1
ZeniMax Online Studios Launcher[6784]: The function `CGFontSetShouldUseMulticache' is obsolete and will be removed in an upcoming update. Unfortunately, this application, or a library it uses, is using this obsolete function, and is thereby contributing to an overall degradation of system performance.
I couldn't find a previous reference to this error in this forum. My question is: How much performance degradation.

✭✭This is not an error, this is a warning being logged. The Launcher's code (not the game client) is using a call to an API function which has been flagged as being deprecated by Apple. This is mostly a hint to programmers (not end users), that they should update their source code to use a newer function call, as the old one will fade from the system in the future as APIs are upgraded.
This has absolutely no impact on any game client performance whatsoever.Edited by KhajitFurTrader on December 3, 2014 11:26AM1
