Group Finder / Search - This Does Not Work

I understand the response from ZOS is that the Group Finder is working, its just that there is a glut of DPS users, as well as a misunderstanding of how it actually works. ZOS mentions the fact that people don't understand that they need to select multiple roles, or select 'ANY' for the dungeons instead of picking specific ones.

However, I don't think any of those are the solutions. I group with two others I know in real life. We comprise a Tank, Healer, and DPS. We are ~VR5. We are CONSTANTLY using the tool to find a single DPS... FOR ANY DUNGEON. Not a single time, in hours of searching, have we picked up one DPS user.

And we try time and time again.

I find it extremely hard to believe that there is not one DPS user looking for a group in this entire game! Afterall, as I mentioned above, one of the reasons stated by ZOS that its working is the fact that there is a glut of DPS users - the very class we are seeking!

So please, I just want some sort of confirmation that its broken. That it's simply not working. That it will be fixed. Or Hell, anything. Let us know if its just too hard to fix and it will be scrapped! Its now completely obvious that it is not working at all.

P.S. If any DPS people are looking for a dungeon group, there are three of us always together so just hit me up.

It's been confirmed by ZOS that it's broken for a while now since 1.5 has launched. Check developer discussion(i think) section of forums. It's mentioned.

It is taking much longer than intended to form a group using the LFG tool.

This has been insanely frustrating for us.

It's a shame that this is still marked as investigating. I haven't found a single group since update 5 and I'm getting bored of having to spam the zone chat. It wasn't amazing before update 5 but I could still get a group eventually. Are we sure that it is just taking longer rather than not working at all? Has anyone found a group using it?

I have never used it. I do so much stuff in Tamriel that I can wait to see someone need help in zone chat. I logged on to do some fishing and saw a guy needed help with a Craglorn quest. No fishing last night.

Sad to say, but spam for a group in zone chat it's the only way atm.

Could not find a group and had DPS checked and unchecked.

Tried for a couple hours and gave up after I didn't find ANY group members.

I just beg in /zone chat... "hey... is there anyone that might be able to group up with me... please... anyone... anyone at all"

They stopped investigating this issue. They have found that players do not use LFG tool at all, so they don't see a reason to continue with a very complicated set of steps to find the cause of this problem. We are supposed to either ask in guild or general chat for groups.
It is also partly due to console players waiting to play ESO. ZOS wants them to learn how to type in chat boxes before they start playing the game, so they decided to start now, when there's still time.

Yep. No chanse to find a group. I selcted tank role and no difference. But I see all time lfg tank in chat.

There are several basic problems, some may think that these programmers of the ZOS have abandoned their brains somewhere or do not know what an MMO is.
1) For example, in Fungal Grotto, they can not think that the GF works with a search for players level 12-49, the range is too wide. The solution is to bring players to the same level and then give a suitable loot for players true level .... better go back as it was before.
2) All the players, and i talk to players level 12-44, when they made the dungeons and take the skill point, they do not return + in dungeons. Need a special reward in coins for example, every time you finish a dungeon, to buy gear at your level or advanced gears.
3) For the GF for players level VR, still i do not know, but probably there are similar problems, nothing works)). Sure, they can't unite, to make the pledge, level players 45- VR10.
In this forum have been several discussions about the GF tool, ZOS never gave answers that gave hope to the players. The only solution i think is to leave the game for 1-2 months, so maybe someone here understands that players pay and the problems must be solved immediately or give the exact times when it will be repaired.

there is a lack of people using it because of grinding as well. so many people don't do a single quest or dungeon and cry about grinding vr ranks being nerfed. I spoke to a new player who literally said I just started playing this game if im not vr14 in a week, something Is broken. needless to say I stopped talking to him
