Extremely long Login times

This has been happening for about a week now. After loging in, eso.exe freezes for an extremely long time before moving on to the loading screen before the character select.

Doesn't matter if I have addons or not, no system changes just started to happen after an inf loading screen.

It use to have a slight delay when pressing login before going on to the loading screen, but now its over 5 mins at times.

Any ideas?

    Hey there @Cyhawk,

At the risk of sounding broken record-ish, the best place to start with an issue like this would be a repair. To do this, close the game and open up the launcher. Just above the news articles, select Game Options and choose Repair from the drop down. Let us know if that helps you load in a bit faster.

If not, can you let us know where the hangup is? Is it between the login screen and character selection, or between character selection and the game itself?

    Repair doesn't fix it.

It happens between the login screen and the loading screen before character selection.

Hit enter, <pause>, loading screen, character select

The pause always existed, but it never lasted more than about 5 seconds.

Sounds kinda like AV or Firewall. Kinda Sorta.

What do you run for protections? What kind of router? Ethernet or wifi?

So not a AV (whichI dont use) or firewall issue, good idea as it was close.

Well I fixed it. I had a tingling it was a DNS issue so I switched back to google's DNS (8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4), /dnsflush and a restart (which I don't do often) and it was instantly fixed. (Restart was so I didn't have to keep using my secondary network adapter, not sure why it didn't take on the primary adapter)
