Thanks. I did do a dns flush and most of the article doesn't apply to me. I restarted the launcher and it is downloading. The download speeds are horrible and I am not sure why, 6kB/s. I have a fiber 1Gbps/1Gbps connection and usually get these downloads in less than 10 minutes. I have been at this since 11AM EST.

@ZOS_GaryA, or any other CS, how big is today's patch? Is there just one part or more than one download? Thanks!

Diagnosis, ZOS servers are crappy today. In-game disconnects are way too frequent too

Hey there @Seravi,

It looks like the total download is about 12 gigs. Here's a post from Gina about it, with some suggestions that may help reduce the time you spend updating the game:

While you will need to download 12GB for today’s patch, the exceptionally large size was unintentional and is not typical for an incremental patch. While preparing for today’s maintenance, we needed a second build internally to fix an issue we encountered. Unfortunately, this means you are actually downloading both builds which is required for today’s patch to run. In the meantime, we do have a couple workarounds that you can try that may be faster and not as large:

• Cancel the patch and run a repair instead, or…
• Delete the folder titled “vo_en” and restart the launcher.

We apologize for the inconvenience that this is causing, and will do everything we can to ensure it won’t happen again in the future.

Flushing the DNS worked for me. It would be great if, when the folks are back from their Thanksgiving break, someone would post about this issue more prominently on forums so people will see it and know if they run into this issue to flush the DNS. Thanks!
