The Demon in the Launcher.....

Way back when 1.5. x first came out:

I downloaded the update at usual 178.xKb/s, NA server seemed to work.

Then to get the EU update did the usual(for me), transferred the new NA files to EU folder, deleted all the "ver" flies and started download, seemed to be working.

But since only a few files were needed, popped in and out watching the downloading. Seemed fine, EXCEPT at tail-end when should just pop to "Play" it started to download another ~7000 Mb.

Strange I thought, but decided to wait. Popped back and noticed was going REALL slow, but also, noted that the "Play" button was up.... real strange.

Stopped the Launcher. Went to my EU eso.exe and tried to play, could play fine.

NOTE: this "Download" recurs whenever I try to "Repair" the EU files, and now whenever I try to repair the NA files. Same situation: Usual repair routine then a download of the ~7000Mbs of file, and then shortly thereafter the "Play" button pops up.

I tried to repair, because none of the NPCs' faces were moving, when they were talking.

Any ideas on how to fix this?

I got a similar issue, every update from 1.5.3 to 1.5.5 has prompted me for a 6 GB repair.

I also have the non-speech issue.

Hate to see anyone have the same problem... but a least I not all alone now o:)
