Game crashes at start after todays fix

After the fix, that the game no longer cannot recognize the game version. The game now crashes after i press play.
If i can endure the inane prattle in chat, I can survive your assuredly erudite eluciations. Proceed.

    Hey there @Jinazai,

    First, please ensure that the update installed by checking for updates from the launcher. To do this, close the game and open the launcher. Select Game Options, which is located just above the News section, and then choose Check for Updates.

    If the issue persists, we ask that you use the Repair option, which is in the exact same drop down menu. If that doesn't help, let us know and we'll be happy to continue assisting you!

    I can even launch the exe now, I get ABORT: Pointer is NULL (..|cef\clienthander.c/648)

    Seriously ZOS my first year students could do a better job

    Hey there! (I don't think it's possible to @ tag you, sorry!)

    We have an article on the ABORT: Pointer NULL error here. Please follow those steps and let us know if you are able to log in afterwords.

    not sure why my network setting would effect the game launcher let alone being able to login, seeing as they have not changed since the last time I was able to play (this morning 9:15am). Even so, I tried the fixes you linked but to no avail. Thankfully I always keep backups, so I am now having to update my backup ESO folder (from 19/10/14).

    @Jopp wish I could have got to the 'repair' option........
