Alchemy Writs

Was tasked with making a Panacea of Stamina and collecting 3 nirnroot. Panacea was produced and quest updated. Pulled 3 nirnroot out of bank and quest did not update. Bought 3 from guild store, no update. Went and gathered 3, no update. Relogged and traveled to different zone. Nothing updates. Dropped quest and restarted, no change.
Any special rules for this system that I'm missing such as, "cannot have any of item to be gathered in bank/inventory when starting" or "materials must be gathered on half moon night while nude and chanting?

Nope, nothing you're missing. This is actually not working properly at the moment, but we're working on a fix for it.

not only that writ, seems all alchemy writs where "adquire" an herb is listed, dosnt count the herb

I'll add to this that I have an Alchemy Writ that requires a Health Potion and 3 Dragonthorn. The Health Potion is counted but nothing I do will get the 3 Dragonthorn to be acknowledged.

I tried that last night and it worked. I dropped the one with collecting wormwood. Received the one of collecting water, went to my bank grabbed a stack of the needed water and quest updated immediately. so seems dropping and picking it up again worked ..or gettting the one with water hehe?

Yes I dropped the ones not working and received one requiring water that worked but you can't do this the same day, you must waste a day or you receive the same quest again and again, unless I had a very bad rng.

Yeah, unless the RNG gods are truly smiting me, I don't think you can change the writ quest for a given day. If you've gotten one then waited until the next cycle, you can abandon and get the writ /for that day/. Once you've gotten that day's writ, though, you get the same one over and over again, no matter how many times you abandon. It seems that the game just makes a list of the "writs for the day" and gives you the one appropriate to your skill (solvent / materials level).

I had this exact issue the op described and put a ticket in. After that I tried a blacksmith writ, and it worked np. Then did a woodworking writ with no issue either. Tried an enchanter writ and had an issue. So it asked for a great stamina and a TA run. I found a TA and the mission updated. I then crafted the rune and the TA mission objective zeroed out and the rune was finished. Found another TA and it progressed, but the rune progression went away. Entered a ticket and logged out. I'll keep to wood/blacksmith till Mage Guild writs are fixed.

yep got this problem-telling me to get wormwood when I have stacks of them in my inventory.

Same problem. Also woodworking quest bas bugged - not counting +1 when I made a staff.

I did that this morning and got the fabled "water quest" which came with a survey report when I finished it. I now have more Blessed Thistle than I'll ever need. I had it before the quest, too, but now I have even more. Goody!

And a V1 farming mats in Craglorn is quite an exciting proposition, like questing in Cyrodiil.

I got that too, not a single high demand reagent in the whole lot. Second time it happened I got me some Lady Smock. Would it kill the RNG to throw me Bugloss?

I've tried getting rid of and getting new writs, the writs still aren't counting herbs on hand. Please notify us as soon as this is correct.

I am very frustrated with this issue. I was sure this would be fixed with today's download, but no. I am not able to continue Alchemy without it working. Also, on Provisioning, where in the world is a recipe for Golden Apple Ale? I have opened every openable thing I can find, and that recipe is wayyyyy too rare. Another question, why oh why is Bugloss so very hard to find? Come on EOS, this isn't fun.

Alchemy fix didn't take, there is official response from ZOS on this. Not sure you want to hear this, but try leveling Provisioning. At level 50, writs are very easy. The recipes are common, and the only downside is that some ingredients are grocer only.

On a tangent from this, does anyone know if the Writ notice boards are working as planned or bugged? I'm referring to equipment writs only appearing in home alliance. I have not seen any mention of this in patch notes.

This, so this, it is now going on 3 days and I still can not find this! I have tried zone chat asking to buy, looked in the guild traders and still nothing. Where oh where can I find this recipe >_<
