The Grand Melee PVP Tournament!

The Grand Melee!
Welcome one and all to the Grand Melee!
This will be a contest of one on one combat, the victor takes all!
We will be hosting a tournament on the PTS server, this allows any and all players to participate, it also allows us to easily match challengers by pre-deciding which faction they will join for the event.
This will be a single elimination event.
Each contender will be matched via Challonge, and assigned a color (red, blue, gold) this will indicate which faction you will be representing for that battle. It is suggested that you create a VR 14 Craglorn character for each faction and configure them accordingly. That way if your color is changed due to competing with someone of the same faction, you will be able to quickly switch to an opposing force.
You will then enter into single combat, the victor moving on to the next tier, the loser being fed to the worms.
Each contestant will be notified of the combat location privately, anyone wishing to view the battle can do so via
This will continue until there is one left standing, this individual will be crowned our Champion, and win all the accolades associated with such prestige. The 1st and 2nd runner up will also be acknowledged.

Combat will begin on Saturday, November 8th, 2014 at 12:00HRS EST (16:00HRS GMT), and continue until a victor is determined.

All players are welcome, this is NOT an RP event, however, we will allocate a small portion of time before each contest for those of you who wish to RP to do so before the combat begins.

Violation of the rules will lead to immediate disqualification and reporting.

Well it's on PTS, so performance server wise is not too much of an issue. And it's 1v1 with Update 5, so it's not like oil or camps will be an issue.1 -

adean27✭✭✭There seems to be a bit of confusion in regards to participants. Anyone can join, as you can create VR 14 characters on PTS with maxed skills and a Trial set of gear. So if you have only reached level 20 on live, you can still participate.0

Thanks! That's the plan, we want to keep all prizes RL based. As we're opening this to all players, NA and European servers, so we would rather offer universal prizes than say a limited amount of in-game gold that we may or may not have on a specific server. It just creates logistics issues.
