Keep getting stuck at "Requesting Character Load"

I get this a lot on EU server, haven't downloaded PTS yet. I have to use VPN, or it's likely impossible to log into game.

yesssss!!! I've timed out several times. My spouse keeps attempting to make a VR12 character and keeps getting either booted or a level 1 character is made instead. Hard to test if it isn't working.

Got the same issue. The solution is to create your character, wait for the game to pop the "unknown error ", relog and play your new lvl 1 character. Once in the game, it will turn in a vet12 one

Right, you can see/hear the effects(V1-v12) taking place right before your character loads the 2nd time(relog).
