I have opened numerous support tickets on these issues in the past only to have them "sent to the mages guild" and then nothing. So here goes.

The Character Sheet does not accurately list certain values and the accuracy of these values is highly situational contingent on factors like what map you are on or if you have harvested a node recently. The worst of them is Spell Crit Chance.

Mathematically my spell critical chance ~should~ be >50%.
The reality is since the early alpha of this game the math of what a stat should be and the listing are rarely in synch, not to mention the practical output. The bug allowing players to have 100% spell crit and quest specific spell damage is still present (this was the reason I unsubbed).

Several problems still exist with permanent status effects on the player character that unfairly affect gameplay. The difference now is you need an addon to see them.

Oh and apparently my build was nerfed 5 more times in my absence.

I'm curious as to what these status effects are and just what Addon is needed to see these effects.

This sounds suspiciously like an exploit.

Also...I'm surprised that there are status effects for players that can only be seen by an Addon. Do these status effects include both positive and negative effects and what Addon is used?

There's a mass of details the standard UI doesn't show, presumably ZOS felt their playerbase was too stupid to understand them, add-ons are the only way to make this game have a 21st century UI.

Addons can only access UI elements. This data was obviously intended to be accessible because it was not stored on server side or patched on client side to offer limited access. If ZOS considered it an exploit, they wouldn't have made it accessible on client side. If they do consider this to be an exploit, they are clearly incompetent as developers.

Although I generally agree ... you might want to fix the spelling of "Rebuscribed"

I can't discuss exploits on the forums obviously but I will say that while I am not a programer it should have been an easy fix before the game went live.

Maybe I am wrong and it's one of those things that isn't cost effective to fix if so few people are able to do it or know how.

Yes, there are loads of effects both positive and negative that the player character can't see and some of these CAN be seen with addons.

    tl;dr

ESO code is just as sloppy as any elder scrolls title, the difference this time is the end user is powerless to fix most of it with mods.
