This thread is created and endorsed by those Pvdoor lovers. Probably the AD on haderous.

Cant wait for the day that pvp buffs stop applying to pve. Which is another point, currently pvp buffs apply to pve, so pvp in this game makes you stronger. Must mean that pvp is pretty important. When they cut off your buff supply then it wont be so important.

I am not sure who are you talking about but as a mainly pve player (I do a fair amount of pvp also in a balanced campaign) I can't wait until that day comes. The fact that some pve content seems to be balanced around having some of those buffs is another thing that pretty annoying from a PVEer point of view.

since you said reality OP.. fully aware of the danger (ban, warning, whatever), i just wanted to (finally) say this in regards to reality and PvP:

congrats to Matt Firor for suceeding in making what ESO is, despite the CRAPload of ideas it is infested with. No irony, i mean it. Can only imagine what teso would have been like with someone whose thinking had not stopped in that one game. DAoC. Because ever since then? Rehash. Good for him, but a bleeding shame it had to happen in this game.
    - balance? In a TES game? So many skills, abilities and ways of playing out the window because..balance..? (ie PvP)?
    - "luring" the solo/casual/pver in PvP/contested areas so as the minority(pvpers) can have people to "play" with? What is this, the early 90s again?
    - Closed off areas? No veering away? Insanely large chunks of land we cannot even visit sans conditionals? Artificial barriers? Locked races? All because what? A "struggle in the middle"? Who asked for a damn PvP struggle in the middle anyway? I sure as hell am not a TES fan for its PvP, lol, it does NOT HAVE ANY!
This is NOT daoc man. Sorry.it.is.just.not. Its gone that era, bye bye.
    And yet..he just had to, didn't he;

So while i acknowledge and congratulate him (yes it's true so i will say it again) for what he has managed, by leading, coordinating, contributing, despite the horrid ideas at the core.. i sure as hell cannot stop feeling so damn bitter.
Bitter from just contemplating what teso really COULD have been like had someone else done the thinking..so that this game could have:
    a) screamed TES only online, massively
    (TES had no pvp, hello???)
(Online game UIs are not derivatives of consolitis left clinically untreated)
(massively means social. Social is NOT group, loot, buy. Social is NOT group,PvP,bye)
    b) been anything -other- than a stinking remnant of a way of thinking that has long since gone stale. MIT lectures notwithstanding

You will tell me you are wrong, people pay for this? People pay for a LOT worse, so apologies, but hardly a counter argument.

anyway, just my honest two cents. The consequences of the above, you have all experienced already have you not? No need to elaborate..again..
Why am i still subbed? In the hope that once the smoke clears (and this will only be AFTER the consoles release) i will be able to ascertain where this game is heading. Until then, i support Zenimax, being the daddy company that i owe so much fun to. So i try to maintain hope still, call me dumb, you wouldn't be the first, heh :)

What I am reading in the OP post is all true, and it illuminates the complaints PvP players have. Yes, things are tilted heavily to PvE. Yes you can't do much in this game without PvE.

And that is the complaint of those who enjoy PvP. The OP has done a great job of explaining why the PvP players are upset, and not really made any arguments as to why these things shouldn't upset them.

The mainstay of ESO is PvE, hands down. Like it or not. The content of ESO is 90% PvE and 10% PvP, and that's being generous.

You can't even enter Cyrodiil until you do some PvE to get to the required level.

    Blah, blah blah Snip........

PvE is nothing more than training wheels for PvP. It's where you learn your class, skills, abilities, etc. Yes, this game is 90% PvE while leveling but once you get to an PvP appropriate level I wouldn't be surprised if players were spending more time PvPing then in PvE.

Sorry you don't realize it but PvP is just important to end game (in my opinion more) then PvE.

PvP in ESO is terrible. All i see now is clouding swarm, impulse spamming DK / SORCs. Good luck trying to down someone in a dress with sword and board with a stamina bow / 2h build.

The main selling points for ESO were the story and the AvA.

Not sure where the OP got his idea from to summarize this in a 90-10 but he is incredible wrong and in my opinion such a provoking thread should be instantly deleted as it only serves a fight between die hard pve and die hard pvp players.

ESO needs the story just like it needs the pvp to survive.
