Undocumented (awesome) changes in 1.5

- ground targetted aoe abilities (blazing spear, scalding rune, caltrops, etc.) now can be used by double pressing the assigned button - you can now use them while blocking
- there is now an ingame way to permanently display fps and latency (finally!)

    You were always able to use these abilities while blocking, you just have to reassign your interrupt to another key.

    The /fps command has been on live for a while. The one for ping should be a good addition though.

    and wykkyd toolbar and other addons have been displaying fps all the time since the beginning.
    permanently displaying fps now by the game/zos is too little too late and completely redundant at this point.

    Blazing spear needs to be fixed lol. The fact that you can stun someone over and over again is really broken.

    The spinning ball for Magelight/Inner Light has been reduced in sized and luminosity. It is far less annoying (or hypnotic) than before 1.5

    I wish they could just get rid of it altogether but that's good to hear.

    Only in that you won't be able to hold block all the time, which is probably going to be annoying for tanking.

    Both cool changes.....why are they not documented? If they don't document stuff like this we have no way of knowing what is a bug or what isn't, or to keep a look out to test it.

    Using abilities while blocking is definetely strange but we have been having this since the beginning so I guess it's inherent to the gameplay and can't be removed.

    Not sure if I'd call it strange...technically blocking is holding up a shield and hiding behind it. the spartans seemed quite capable of blocking while exhibiting full attacks. throwing out a few spiky toys and poking someone with a long pointy thing doesn't seem too out of the ordinary

    Explain please. I keep reading about this block while using abilities thing, and I'm rather confused about it. Every time I hold block (right mouse button), if I use an ability (any ability), my block drops, and my character does not start blocking again after the ability unless I press block again (even if I'm holding down the block button the whole time). But it sounds like others can hold block and use skills, and block just stays up? How?

    Right now, you can hold block. And use any skill. Even if u cant see the blocking animation, you are still blocking. How?

    My gess is the Devs either overlooked it. Or they think Its normal in games to do tons of damage while taking no damage.

    any instant stun can achieve this; there are a lot more than blazing spear. I suggest blocking, it foils my cc constantly:/ ....
