Firstly I must say we thoroughly enjoyed the scaled version of Vet Elden Hollow! It felt perfectly scaled, and was even somewhat challenging compared to the previous version love what you guys are doing!

Heres some of the new rewards from the Gold chest.

You only have a chance to receive the Undaunted set and a smaller chance to get the boss version loot as well. Still not impressed with the trait selection however... And the set bonuses are interesting to say the least.

It's almost like they have the medium and light bonuses switched.

For the medium armor shown, 3/4 are about magicka.
Here's the light armor Undaunted Unweaver (V14 purple):
    2: Adds 90 Max Stamina
    3: Adds 90 Max Stamina
    4: Adds 4% Spell Critical
5: After casting an ability that costs stamina, light attacks deal 72 additional damage and heavy attacks deal 108 additional damage for 10sec

As far as traits, I guess they don't care since they've already decided they're going to be random at some point.

I could see uses for the infiltration set... sturdy definitely needs some love tho XD to low of bonus and put on a group item where players are more worried about optimizing.

The traits seem to be random already. Someone posted this on reddit: i.imgur.com/CkVi9IP.png

Now if they'd remove all the garbage traits from those items, that would be nice.

Meh. Garbage traits unneccessarily dilute loot tables IMO. I'd personally like an option to "re-craft" dropped items (i.e. change traits and styles), which could also finally enable us to use the looks we want while wearing best in slot items.

So they don't have their unique look yet as presented at QuakeCon? That's extremely disappointing.

Set bonus is interesting, though. Would like to know what the heavy version has.

Better random traits than fixed stupid exploration ones... are normal sets also dropping random traits now ?

What are you talking about. The left piece is exactly what they showed at Quakecon and ESO Live. The right one is simply a new in game set.

That's the concept art for the new undaunted armor set. The one in the tool tip in the screenshot above is just breton style.

Even if the loot table is Diluted with random traits now its still better than being STUCK with one possible trait, going to run more of these today and see if i can find some other gears

Really grateful for the post! Looking forward to getting my hands on the monster helms and shoulders.

Do you know what bonuses the other ones not mentioned at the Guild Summit have? Such as the Spider Daedra helm?

From what i've seen....not only is the traits random but the set bonuses are random on the actual gear type as well..Meaning you can get that Set Bonus on either Light/Medium or Heavy.

How would that work? You can find a matching set that doesn't let you use it because the bonuses are different?

Nope, not random at all. If you take a look at the 5pcs bonus, those sets are basically made to promote hybrid gameplay, and to be honest, with extra stat points you would most likely softcap anyway, so why not having extra magicka?

Real question is, is the 5pcs bonus going to work with softcapped weapon and spell damage? If not, it would loose lots of value

There was a screen shot of one of the sets posted on the reddit page that was both a light armor version and a heavy armor version. So chances are any set that drops comes in all 3 armor types

We did Tempest Island with a group of VR14's last night and the scaling seemed to work very well.
I was a bit underwhelmed by the rewards from the silver chest however, except for the tank who got a set chest piece, the rest of the group got loot that in some instances was of lesser quality than they looted from the actual dungeon.
