I want them to keep playing this game, but you know darn well and good that if they do not reroll, the PVP will die.

Why would ANYONE reroll to AD? It just exacerbates the issue. The fewer of the other factions there are and the more AD there, the less and less competitive PVP will get.

Make my own fun? Do it all the time, but people can make their own fun out of the game with any sort of medium.

You are essentially saying that if you don't like the fact that the game will be killed by the population imbalance, we should quit early or be stuck in a game where the only endgame is PVE as the PVP will be dead and buried.

Past week-end I just /sitchair on the keep wall and watch them farm those poor pacts over and over again. It was like watching some bad war-horror movie, but still fun. At least we did destroy the tower so they couldn't hide in it.

@ My fellow Pact bros and sistas who are wrecking havoc during US prime and playing time.

Let's give you some clarification as it seems there's some misunderstanding here. Clarification about us, the non US prime and playing time, Pact.

What you call AD night capping is "normally"

locked or 3 bars of Bees
2-3 Bars of Mighty Pacts
1-2 bars of Blues (more recently but for how long)

1. For us, thar Pact, the most and only important place is Sejanus. Holding Sejanus means you rock and the rest sucks. We always have a very important presence at and around Sejanus. The only way for the bees to get Sejanus back is bringing the 20-30 strong Skeleton train. Once the Skellies leave Sejanus it's taken back by us. If DC dare to take Sejanus they'll pay the price, high price. Sejanus belongs to thar Pact and that's it.

2. Bees or blues it doesn't matter to us. A kill is a kill. Bees is more fun, slightly, but blues work as well. A keep is a keep as long as it becomes a red one.

3. Arius keep and scrolls being the only exceptions, but why defend a keep when you can be at Sejanus?

4. When our gates open it's farming Bees or Blues at our scrolls time. You should see and feel how excited we're when our gates open. Priceless.

5. Sometimes we do a big push to get some keeps back. But once BRK taken we split up. Sejanus crew to Sejanus, of course. Some to take Chalman, others to take those border keeps back and the badies after we took back Sejanus crossing the river for whatever reason we, the Sejanus crew still do NOT completely understand.

7. We hate you, US prime time crew, when you grab a scroll and put it in Arius. Because of that terribad gameplay of yours we're forced, pushed, feeling guilty to have to defend Arius at whatever cost. Screw you all for this.

8. When we all agree and defend a keep something that does happen, it's impossible for the Bees or the Blues to take that keep. Once the job done, we split up again.

9. We have zero, no, nada what you would call discipline but we happily die for the Pact as long as it brings us plenty of Apeeeeeeees.

10. When we start owning too much on the map it's time to log off and move on with our lives outside of Cyrodill.

Hate us, blame us, damn us, but that's what's happening when you peeps are asleep or at work on Pact side.

BTW someone knows if it's only Oredajyouuuuuuuuhouuuuuuuu or UMA rolling Pact on TESO?

Apparently I did misunderstand. You're not upset about nightcapping, just the population imbalance, and you don't want the overnight players to stop playing at the hours that are convenient for them, just switch to a different alliance to balance the overnight population, correct?

If that's the case, then I'm afraid we're all powerless. There are numerous reasons people choose AD, and for most I believe the decision comes before PvP is even considered. Even now that I know I can be any race in any alliance, and I can (eventually) hang out in any zone of any alliance, I probably wouldn't do all that crap over again even if I were paid. It is a lot of work, and a lot of time, and a lot of yakkity yak in the quests. It's too much to ask of people who have been playing for months. I think most people, AD or not, would agree with me.

I think the solution you're looking for comes not from AD members, but from ZOS. If they offered a population incentive it might help. For instance, if DC has the lowest population in PvP this month, people who sign up as DC get a cool pet, or costume, or dye color. Something fun and ultimately meaningless to encourage people to join the alliance with the lowest population. This would target new players, so there wouldn't be much sacrifice involved.

I'm sure there are other ideas out there, but the point is, population imbalance is a problem that should be solved by ZOS, not the players.

Question for you AD aussies: Would you pay a small fee like 10-15 american to change faction for pvp? Yea I understand that it's a financial inconvenience you didn't ask for, but given the current state of things would you do it just so you have other people to fight against?

2am this morning (-6 gmt), while EP and AD fought at BRK, DC attacked deep into EP territory and grabbed one of their scrolls. The battle between AD and EP quickly stopped. As the battle for the scroll continued, the numbers of the AD on the server swelled until they were legion. I've literally never seen that many people on in one place before. They hit DC and EP and never even slowed down in their forced march south with the scroll.

I'm not sure there really is a solution to this problem. What can Zenimax do? Not sell the game in Oceania? Turn servers off outside of prime-time in America and Europe? If I lived in Australia I'd play the game during my prime-time, and not stay up until some obscene hour simply because that's when most Americans or Germans are playing.

I suppose Zenimax could create an Oceanic server and see if that helps. They may not have the population to justify it, though.

Moreover, to be honest, I suspect the problem is created largely by a minority of dedicated PvP Oceanic guilds that would play on American/EU servers anyway because of all the attention they get for doing it. If not for all of the attention they get from pissing people off, they would be bored out of their minds at doing this and would either re-roll or quit. I'm not saying they should have to do either, but I just don't see a way for anyone to fix this problem. As for the majority of Oceanic players, though, they would undoubtedly prefer an Oceanic server if the population is high enough.

ZOS doesnt even need to make a megaserver for them just give them their own pvp server. Also, ignoring the problem (what you called "giving them attention") doesn't fix anything. They are probably mostly aware that they have things pretty imbalanced right now, and don't care. They have characters they have invested time in and guilds they've developed relations with. Why throw that away? Give them an oceanic pvp server.

You know what would be awesome for us cross faction folk

If say some awesome guild could roll up a bunch of DC lowbie alts like right now and crown me emp on blackwater NA. XD

But in all seriousness, leveling up alts is an absolute pain, and i only even play mine when i cant get on my primary chars.

That and there are a lot of people (and by a lot i mean a crapload) that will never group you or trust you or want to play with you because you play cross faction chars.

There are AD guilds that want nothing to do with me because I also play EP/DC, and whenever I am on EP/DC most of the EP/DC regs are less than warm and friendly.

So the culture itself has to change, if you want us to roll cross faction stop being a-holes when we want to join your groups, know what im sayin?

I mean, i can get into groups sometimes, but there are a lot of hardliners that are like "no way, youre a spy/i dont like you cause you killed me/we dont mess with flippers" etc.

Maybe ZOS should just post their analytics report that outlines how many people are online at what time, for the rest couple weeks.

Surely they record that for maintenance/reviews/analytics, don't they?

Then we can stop blaming each other and see who's online, when, and how many.
