Anyone know the best locations to grind skill exp really fast? I've heard grinding mobs in coldharbour delves is the best even as veteran. Does anyone know if this is true?

Fastest way to get XP if vet is Craglorn and grind, it's tedious and boring and you'll be short of skill points if you don't at the very least go sky shard hunting.

Either that, or put in some serious game time.
Been here since Feb 2014 - You'd think I'd be half reasonable at this game by now...

He is talking about leveling up skills so he probably already has the Skill points. Also grinding bosses is the crappiest way to level up skills since VP=/=XP.

Yes, and what you get is some guy in a dress at VR 14 running through VR6 areas pumping AoE out of stick while regular players try to do their quests.

They've got levels but no skills you see.

I'm not going so say something nasty about them. It's a legitimate play style decision based on design. But it's poor social design. And the players didn't create it.

Also, [Worms]. I think zombies are the only reliable source to farm them. Yes, I know about plants, there are more zombies than plants though.

That will work to increase the overall skill line, but I don't think it has effect on the individual skill progression.

(Same tick rate for one Skill slotted as for 5 skills slotted, but overall skill line goes up faster.)

Cave of trophies was a decent spot too. Not sure how far into Vet it continues to offer skill ups and drops (other than maybe gold) though.

2nd Starter area Vet wise can be your best bet if you insist on grinding just for skill increase.

If you're trying to max-to-morphable a newly acquired skill, it's a quick way to do so. Anything beyond that, just play as you normally would (try to keep it on both bars) and it will go up at a decent rate.

Also, if you use addons, set up a Quest-turn-in macro for gear/weapons/skills you are trying to level up, even if you don't normally use them. Just don't forget to switch back!

Any mob lvl 45 and above will give exp towards skills no matter what veteran level you are. As basically when you are veteran you are only lvl 50 and the veteran ranks are on top of that.

personal prefrence, Solo Ruzenkulft or however that one Craglorn dwarven ruin is spelled..

one run is enough to get 50% of any ultimate leveled, usually enough to get 90% of any normal skill.

I play every class in every situation. I love them all.

i don't think it's going to be better than farming the zombies. reason is that the exp they reward is higher (3xx xp each kill, some are higher, some lower) and the respawn rate on them is very, very quick and they die in seconds.

I see. It always seemed like i had diminishing loot returns after about 47, but that may have been a fluke.

One other thing to note if you're gonna grind, once you do hit vet, you may as well grab vet points in the process too.

Zombies are good for worms when you are not looking for worms... I went through the zombies in Glenumbra and hardly got any. My friends who don't fish send me worms they find though.

Ask me how many stacks of crawlers I have, though...

They've done some changes to loot. I can now get whatever the mobs in coldharbour dropped, this didn't work a while ago once you got to vr1.

Thanks for the suggestion. I'm running a combo of FTC and Wyk's tool bar and I'm just not seeing/getting XP for anything but quests. My wife--v1 as well--and I have been working on Coldharbour this week and it's the same for her. Loot seems to be dropping appropriately.

I rather like the idea that what you linked to shows all experience gained.

This was pointed out above already, however I'll try to restate for the new people or the people that are still confused. Please pay attention: the OP asked specifically to skill up abilities! It's in his title as well.

Skill experience is not vet ranks. These are two completely different things.

VR = unlocking vet level gear which gives you access to the vet level stats boosts, etc, from the gear and only from the gear. Include enchants, potions and food.

Your character on the other hand, once it hits L50 is forever L50 in skills and attributes. This can no longer be moved up! At least in the present game. It does not matter what vet rank you are, your skills and attributes are capped as a L50 character.

Thus post 50 you can get two types of experience, regular 'ole xp or vet xp.
XP goes to leveling up your skills to the cap of 50.
VXP goes to leveling up your vet rank.

Final word: [worms] sell well, don't delete them. The other bait can be found easily, but not worms. :(

Oh about questing, although I believe it's your choice to either grind or quest, make sure you have the active skills bar showing with the skills you want to level up when you go to turn in a quest.
