If there were no racial perks, which race would you choose for a Rogue type character?

Rodario
Rodario
✭✭✭✭✭
If racial bonuses did not exist, or if they could be chosen as a type of "Role Perk Sets" with any race, what would be your preferred race for a Rogue type character?

What does Rogue mean?

Basically an archetypical Nightblade/Stealth-based, semi-squishy character, but as classes and roles are separate in ESO, a role has to be described instead:

- Wears (mostly) medium armor
- Dual wields melee weaponry or uses bows
- Uses stealth, poisons and/or various styles of dirty fighting got get the upper hand while fighting up-close and personal

If you prefer more than one race for this role, please choose the one you like the most. If you cannot decide, choose one of them and comment on the other.

Unfortunately there are ten possible poll options and ten races, so there is no space for a squirrel option. If you just want to see the results, you will still have to vote for a race.

Also, note that for this poll it does not matter if you have access to the imperial race. If you like Imperials best, vote for them even if you can't play one.

I hope you guys enjoy this poll. I am eager to see the results.

See (hopefully) the first comment for additional information.

As polls cannot be edited, but of course have to be posted before they can be linked, there was no way to link to the other three polls on the subject within the poll text. Here is the complete set:

Bosmer of course, Khajiit also have a culture that fosters thieves, but only the Bosmer have written Thievery into their actual laws. Ie if a Bosmer steals something in an clever creative manner, or without being discovered, then they have commited no crime, and what they stole is now legally theirs.

Not even the sneaky Khajiit have done that. Although I believe the Khajiit have a few thieves nearly as good (maybe even better).

Some races have good synergy with certain builds, but that doesnt stop you from making the class you want ,with the race you want.

I play a reguard, and im loving it ...and that doesnt stop me from using magicka builds in any way.

@emperor there is a limit to how many options you can create into a poll.

Besides they are quite seperate if similar questions.
And of course you can give different answers on each poll, which would a huge number of options to get them all (ten thousand I think)

Exactly, I loved that story, and it highlights how they incorporated thievery into their culture absolutely.

That is because Khajiit have a totally different philosophy on posession. It's more "finder's keepers" than "if you are skilled enough, it's yours." Still, it depends on how you "find" something...

This one thinks Rajhin is the one you speak of, yes? He is/was very skilled indeed, many Khajiit seek to follow his path.

But many races have traditions and talents that lend themselves to a rouge character. Argonian shadowscales, Bretton political assassins, and the Dunmer Morag Tong, to name a few.

I will be quite honest whit you , without the racial passives there is a good chance i would pick bosmer almost always doesnt matter what class i decided to play. After that probably breton and that is it , my chars would be one of the 2 :P.

But racial passives do exist and they do make a lot of difference , so i would still pick other races that gives better bonus instead of the ones i like more.

Yes, this is true, it was really close when I was choosing, but in my mind Bosmer had a slight edge on it, but Khajiit were really really close.

I'd say khajiit. The desert walkers have a unique perception on the idea of ownership. It is the other races that call that 'unique perception' "thievery".

So, in a way, I guess you could say khajiit are innately akin to thieves, unlike the bosmer who actually have to outline rules and guidelines for the Rite of Theft.
