Probably a dumb question about the upcoming Champion System

So, since the Veteran System is going to be scrapped, I just have a question as someone who can't play as often as I'd like due to my job: When the Champion System is implemented and the Veteran System is ultimately phased out, will we still be able to get the Golden Saint, Seducer, and Mannimarco costumes?

I really don't want to have to try to sprint to Veteran Level 10 or risk forever missing out on these costumes.

There is no such thing as a stupid question, just stupid people who ask questions.
(Not calling you stupid it's just one of my sayings.)

However no one knows just yet but I am sure they will have a way of getting them in the game still. No reason to make outfits that no one can get.

veteran system will still exist.... they have explained this multiple times.

Champion system will coexist with the vet system.

That's not true. I know a lot of stupid people. I'm related to quite a few of them on my dads side :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

In spite of your best intentions, that really looks harsh.
And allow me to further disagree, stupidity has no real relation to lack of knowledge. If you have little or no information about a subject, no amount of brainpower will enable you to pluck an answer out of thin air.
there is no such thing as a stupid person iether, all human beings are inteligent, the only thing that is stupid about people is decisions we make.

Sadly, there are. It's rarely a case of complete idiocy, though (that's more like a medical state), but a varying state of people across different situations.

For example, approaching PCs the way you would another human being is bound to both be grossly inefficient, and make you look like a moron.

When the deficiencies become apparent across a wide array of subjects, then being called "stupid" might start to be appropriate.

Such is not the case here.

I'll follow with my own saying :
The stupidest question is the one you don't ask, although you need the answer.

Sadly, I have no hard information to answer the actual question.
However, ZoS didn't mention removing any content, so if the costumes are quest-provided, it should still be the case when the Champion system is implemented.
Opinions are like buttholes : Everybody has one, and they usually stink.

    3 things to reduce stamina/magicka imbalance :
    - Use magicka to block abilities costing magicka, instead of stamina.
    - Add % damage reduction to heavy armor.
    - Add block penetration to 2H.

I saw the videos - He does not say the VR system is going to be scrapped.

In the "VR ranks Overhaul" part of the transcript he says this:

•When we take away VR points, we will not take away VR ranks so that won’t affect itemization and the gear you can wear.

So it sounds like they will be removing the "points" but not the ranks. Its very confusing I think.

I have to disagree, I have on occassion asked stupid questions, ok some of them were deliberately stupid to annoy someone. But sadly some of them were genuinely irredeemably stupid.

On the Bright side, I'm not stupid, and have also asked some intelligent questions, and even given intelligent answers on occassion.

I beg to differ here too, I have know some incredibly stupid individuals. But I have also known smart people making stupid decisions too.

I've heard numerous things about the Champion system, including that it's more of a refinement of the Veteran system than a replacement. We'll just have to wait for it to get here, but I doubt they will just reset it completely.

ZOS has confirmed it. Here's a post by the CP system lead developer Maria Aliprando:
Greetings! I am Maria Aliprando, Gameplay Designer on the Champion System.

We are hard at work on it and I’m here to answer a few of your questions. Most of these questions were also asked during our Guild Round Table in the last two days.

How will the current system change when the Champion System gets introduced?

The Champion System will introduce new past lvl 50 progression for your account where previously there was only an increase in Veteran Ranks and Attributes. The Champion System allows you spend points in the constellations to earn powerful passives such as giving your bash a chance to snare targets, reduce the amount of damage you take from flames or leech health on critical strikes.

What happens to the Veteran Ranks we currently have VR1-12?

We want to remove the Veteran Ranks from the game and rely on the more active progression provided by the Champion System. However, when we release the Champion System we will continue to maintain Veteran Ranks. We have several options as to how we will remove Veteran Ranks but all of them require time and careful planning. In the meantime, we are making Veteran Ranks earned by XP and reducing the overall time it takes to get a Veteran Rank. We are also rewarding an Attribute Point and a Skill Point each time you reach a Veteran Rank.

What happens to the Skill Points from VR1-12? Are they carried over to the CS instead?

The Skill Points we reward will not be removed from you! You will continue to have the same amount of Skill Points you do now. The Champion System does not reward any Skill Points, only gaining Veteran Ranks does. When we take out Veteran Ranks we will make sure that anyone that didn't make it max Veteran Rank will still rewarded with those Skill Points.

Does everyone that is a Veteran Rank get lowered back to lvl50? Or are the Ranks staying, but only being changed to lvl 51, 52, etc instead?

Similar to an answer before, we just don’t know yet.

Should players that are VR1+ still work towards VR12 or should they just wait until the new changes.

Continue to play! We are tracking your XP as you advance your way through Veteran Ranks and even past VR14. When the Champion System comes out we will reward you points right away based on the amount of XP you have earned up to a cap. In general, most people won’t reach the cap and we do not know what that cap is yet. We're still working out that value and making sure to take a look at the XP you all are earning.

No idea how they will be earned, but the costumes in question have already had their required level reduced from V2, V6, and V10 to 50 across the board.

So they're only getting rid of VR ranks 1-12? Does that mean players will now jump directly from level 50 to VR13, or that only players who are VR13 and 14 will be able to keep their ranks? Honestly, this seems stupid either way, I can't believe someone thought this was a good idea.
