After strugling to download the game since Sunday, I tried opening it now and I get this Fatal Error 12.
I searched around and I found that nobody had a solution for this. Here is the crash.:

This is really frustrating. I already tried running the game as admin, compability etc.
The game itself (eso.exe), not the launcher. Though the launcher is also running as admin.
Is there any refund policy? I paid for the game, the sub will be billed too and I still haven`t played the game! Come on.

Thanks in advance.

    Hey there @luiscesjr,

Fatal Error 12 can be resolved by running the repair feature from the game's launcher. To do this, open up the launcher and click "Game Options" just above the news ticker, then select Repair from the drop down. This will verify and repair any corrupted files, and once it's completed the error will no longer appear.

If you continue to experience the same issue after a repair, please let us know and we'll be happy to continue troubleshooting with you.

@freespirit‌, I did in the morning, but thanks!

@ZOS_GaryA‌, I hit the repair button just before I left home and
to my surprise it will download all the 26GBs again.
    How could everything be corrupted?
Well, I really don't know how to feel, it's frustrating. I will wait again
3-4 days and try again, I hope the repair solves the problem.
Is it possible to still find a physical copy of this game? I think it's pretty
easier than have to download more than 20Gbs of data. I would
    only download the updates.

    Hey there @luiscesjr,

There are physical copies of the game available, but they do not include the patch data. We're currently at 4 major updates and quite a few minor ones in between, so the patch data is about as large as the download you're reporting.

I will keep you guys updates as soon as I ifnish to download everything again.

    Sorry for the double post.
So repairing did not solve my problem. I also tried installing the client again, no luck. Any more ideas?

so after the third run of repair and it downloading the entire game fresh things started to work again. but if that had failed the next step would have been :

It's possible that this problem can originate from interference from other software on your computer. If you have a any antivirus or firewall software, try either adding exceptions for ESO in them, or temporarily disabling and then launching the game. The two application files that may require exceptions are:
    Bethesda.net_launcher: C:\Program Files (x86)\ZenimaxOnline\Launcher
    ESO.exe:
North American megaserver: C:\Program Files (x86)\ZenimaxOnline\The Elder Scrolls Online\game\client\
European megaserver: C:\Program Files (x86)\ZenimaxOnline\The Elder Scrolls Online EU\game\client
Some antivirus programs require entire folders to be selected instead of a single file. When this is the case, the file path below is what you should use. Please remember to include any subfolders if the antivirus program requests them since every file is critical to successfully running the game:
North American megaserver: C:\Program Files (x86)\ZenimaxOnline\The Elder Scrolls Online\
European megaserver: C:\Program Files (x86)\ZenimaxOnline\The Elder Scrolls Online EU\
If that doesn't help, I'd recommend putting your computer in selective startup mode. Please follow the below steps to do that:
Click Start and type msconfig in the search box.
Right click on the msconfig.exe program and choose Run as administrator.
On the General tab at the top, click on Selective startup.
    Uncheck Load startup items.
Click on the Services tab and check the Hide all Microsoft services box.
Click the Disable all button at the bottom
Click Apply, and then click OK.
    Restart your computer.
When your computer boots up again, it will be in selective startup mode. Try the game again, and see if you have different results. If everything works correctly, then one of the service or startup programs was causing the issue. To troubleshoot which program is the source of the difficulty, re-enable a few programs at a time and try running the game again. Once you encounter difficulties, use the process of elimination to determine exactly which program is the source of the issue. As soon as you have determined which program seems to cause the crash, please let us know so that we can work with you to resolve the issue.

When you have finished this troubleshooting, be sure to turn selective startup off. This is done by opening the msconfig window again and selecting Normal startup. Click Apply, then click OK, and then restart the computer.

hope this is some help to anyone else having this issue cause it drove me crazy!
