Error 318

My character was just dropped from the server for exceeding the message rate limit (error 318). I don't use any addons and hadn't messaged other players via any channel (chat or email). Why would this occur?

The character was exploring/farming on Stros M'kai.

Error 318 normally occurs because of excessive messaging and sometimes AddOns can be the reason this error message pops up.

Since you already explained that those factors did not count for you we recommend to please type /bug in the in-game chat box and log the following information:

• The entire error message
• What zone you were in when the error happened
• If you were in a particular cave or dungeon
• What you were doing (crafting, battling, etc.)

Alternatively, you can also provide the above information directly to our Customer Support.

Thanks! I reported the incident via /bug, although unfortunately I didn't copy all of the rather lengthy error message. At the time I was thinking "Unfair!" rather than "Aha, a bug!"

This happened to me last night while not using chat (group was in Teamspeak) around the 7th or 8th round of the Dragonstar Arena.
