Am I the only player who finds this update to be buggy and in need of fixes? I guess there must be a deep shade of rose on the glasses worn at the ZOS office.

Not as buggy as all the other patches. They are probably holding off until they have all the patches ready for Monday then do it all at once then see how many more patches they need to fix the patch that they push out Monday.

Besides the everlasting lag since frankfurt, I don't see this patch as buggy :/

Its buggy just not AS buggy. The other patches had like 3 pages of known issues (Obvious exaggeration before anyone complains about it) This one has like half a page. So it's getting there.

Yeah, performance in Cyrodiil in particular has been bad for me. Crashes and lag pretty prevalent. Rest of game.. not so much.

We are definitely aware of the various issues being reported. Our teams are actively investigating them and working on fixes, and we will continue to update the Known Issues for Update 4 thread accordingly. That being said, it's worth pointing out that there are different types of fixes, and not all issues can be hotfixed or patched immediately.

Some fixes can be deployed without needing to take the server down and without players needing to patch their client. Some fixes can be pushed without needing to take the server down but requiring players to patch, and others will require both server downtime and a patch. Only some types of bugs can be fixed without taking the server down, which is why you'll see some things being hotfixed and others taking a bit longer to be resolved.

Factors that contribute to the timeline for fixes include the complexity of the problem itself, what type of fix is required, as well as the time required to troubleshoot the bug and the time required to build and test a fix before deploying it. Some fixes will be quick, while others can take longer depending on an issue's complexity and the ability to reproduce it.

Right now, we're in the process of addressing a lot of the issues that have been reported since we pushed Update 4 live, but we aren't far enough along to be able to push these fixes during our usual Thursday maintenance. We're on track to push them early next week, so keep an eye on the Known Issues thread for updates.

Hey, at least they're letting know the status of the fixes. They could say nothing and just let us wonder.

@ZOS_AmeliaR anything we can do to help? Maybe by jumping onto PTS? Using PTS more could go a long way in solving these issues:
    • Always have the final fix you intend to release running for at least 1 - 2 days on PTS.
    • When it comes to major content patches, delay the release if players find major issues with the patch (such as these ones).
    • Why not push these interim fixes to PTS? Spend a little time/money writing scripts so that devs can easily push changes up to the PTS (yeah, and result in a restart it if necessary - it's a test server, that's the territory).
    • Need people to test out a "temp fix" on the client? Post a zip file, some of us will gladly test it for you. After all, if it breaks stuff completely we can always hit "Repair" in the launcher.

You've seen how much we value a stable gaming experience, let us help you out with that. You might find that less players are toxic when something goes wrong, because they don't feel completely powerless when things do go wrong (and with software development things always go wrong). I've seen three MMO developers turn around their games and communities completely by simply involving the community more - the most recent was ANet with their CDI (community development initiative) which was a mindblowing success. Take notes from them, they learnt lessons the hard way - you don't need to.

That stuff you did during PTS where you hopped onto TS servers and asked for feedback was amazing. I had a guildie in our TS absolutely singing your praises because he was around when you did it, he sounded genuinely excited for the future of this game. It's strong steps in the right direction, ZOS, let's see more of it.

Could you PLEASE investigate my thread about stealth. Thousands of views, posted patch day, and yet Zero ZOS input and certainly hasn't made it to your list of known issues. TIRED OF BEGGING.

yup, cramming everything into one big patch worked really well... 3rd times a charm? Zos, insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result.
