Patch Download/application freezes then crashes my PC

I've experienced this problem with more than one of these patches. The last major patch, I was able to find some work around that allowed to me to keep playing. However now, when I'm updating, 1 of 2 things happen:
1. The client freezes my entire computer at 32% (applying patch). This is a full freeze, no buttons respond, I have to reboot my computer.
2. Shortly after freeze, my PC blue screens.

Now I know my PC setup is NOT ideal. But it matches or exceeds the minimum specs for this game. I have 32 bit windows and only 4gbs of RAM - SO DO NOT comment that this is my only problem and DO NOT comment that I should just upgrade. Not all of us are that lucky and can just spend money to do that (This isn't the setup I want, but it is the setup I have). Up until now, this hasn't been that much of an issue in either playing the game or getting previous downloads of patches.

It would be nice if the patch was available in another format that just through the client. Also it would be nice if these patch download and installations were optimized based on your system specs. And yes, I have tried lowering the download speed to the lowest setting and that didn't seem to help.

I appreciate any help or suggestions. I'd like to keep playing the game.

    Hi @Byallogee,

Here are a couple of steps you can try for a better download:
    -Run your launcher as administrator.
    - Check the speed donwload on your launcher (Click on the wheel on the top right, and then "Maximum Download").
    - Ensure that you have The Elder Scrolls Online added as an exception to your Firewall and Anti-Virus software to help your machine connect.

We would also suggest you to configure your router to open the following outbound ports:
    • TCP / UDP Ports 24100 through 24131
    • TCP / UDP Ports 24500 through 24507
    • TCP / UDP Ports 49100 through 54000

If the above steps do not resolve the error, we recommend contacting our dedicated Customer Support team.

    Thank you.

Did you get this fixed? How? The above doesn't seem to help.
