I keep hearing this game has a chance to go f2p but I hope not.
someone just did a post about an interview and it was brought up in this, I don't have the reference sorry
I keep hearing this game has a chance to go f2p but I hope not. That means less quality of work done to keep the game going and no standard of quality to anything.
Every f2p game I have tried has been a pile of garbage.
A game I used to play for years went free to play and it went straight to the toilet, especially the community.

Rift is a game I miss a LOT sometimes. It like TESO was never meant to be F2P but I believe the developers of that game did an amazing job transitioning to the F2P without making it P2W.

Oh. Hmmm. And I saw someone talk about advertising? Do they have advertising in the games? Thanks.david271749 wrote: »Greatfellow wrote: »Excuse my ignorance, but how do f2p games support themselves?
Usually by selling things you could get in game for real money, like a horse. Some sell things only available throgh cash shops, like pets or playable races...hmmm.

Warframe is F2P and its pretty *** amazing. but of course this is an opinion just like yours which means that it is subjective and holds little merit outside of the opinionee

I like your comment, especially your word "opinionee". That said, I would think if "opinionee" was a real word its definition would be " the person who receives an opinion, or to whom an opinion is directed."
Yeah, I think in your sentence above if you substitued "opiner" for "opinionee" you'd be spot on.
But I don't care. It was all fun for me. I'm a policy analyst who also gets paid to write and edit a lot, so I love running into words like "opinionee". Thanks!

Having said that, I hope it doesn't. I think the sub model will make a better game in the long run.

yeaah . with that you'll sure have the money to pay 2 megaserver and 300 employees that works for new contents and fixing bugs right? sub model it's always the best option, if you hope for new contents and work.
